Lock it down?

Okay, simple enough.

I'd just do it, but I want to be fair.

Personally, I think this thing is probably the equivalent of putting two japanese fighting fish in the same bowl and watching what results. First it was Unfiction vs. another board. Now it's the USA vs. Sweden.

No thank you. Instigate somewhere else.

Vote now.

Marc's role as gadfly is pretty well established here. I find it amusing. I voted move it but leave it unlocked.

Maybe toss it into timewasters?

Not at all.

The more pleasant and intelligent Yanks continue to pursue the teachings, and I have noted their curious capacity for cooperation with other nationalities.

High-minded humans of all nationalities are welcome at the Journal.

As, indeed, are silly people, for our amusement.

The document formerly known as "Conversational Terrorism" and now called simply, "How NOT to Talk!" classifies this tactic in with the "Sleight of Mind Fallacies." Seems oddly appropriate considering the source, no?

if you lock this forum, further discussion might bleed into other forums. Therefore, leave it unlocked.

But do move it to a place with less prominence. Perhaps add a locked sticky announcement at the top which explains that, while it is a form of alternate reality, it is not a game and it thus not really appropriate to continue on this particular message board.

It's not that we're Americans here, it's that we're focused.

Sigh. Siamese fighting fish. Otherwise called bettas.

[strutting]My brother is on the board of directors of the International Betta Congress. When he restarted his breeding and show activities, people really sent him mail from around the world welcoming him back. One post on his web page said "Your contributions are legendary."[/strutting]

I'm quite proud of him, as you might guess.

Of course, I kill about 5 fish at a time, as I try to let my boys raise goldfish. Clearly, I didn't inherit any of his talents...

Err, sure.

But remember that it's actually just one small chunk of a collaborative effort of micro-tactics. The big picture is so much more interesting!

I remind you that yours is a nascent genre.

Likewise. Circular logic aside, the jargon meter is through the roof at RK these days. 50 cent words do not equate to intellectual discourse or logical reasoning.

Still, 'tis amusing in a diversionary fashion.

Stage 1 effect. You'll get over it.

Also, I'm planning to set up private tutorials. Let me know if you're interested.

Thank you.

Very Happy
