DVP 2: Hidden Message?

After grabbing DVP2 (And putting it on my headphones, at arms length, just in case, and it was justified) and listening to it a few times, the burt of noise really sounds like what happens if you change the filename of a different file to .wav and play it.. after having a look at it as a text file, I noticed that there was a bunch of Repeating letters in the text, they even seem to have a syntax, all the patterns of letters being within {} brackets.. seems troutish since i don't really know what a normal wav looks like in notepad, but interesting nonetheless.. maybe we could be able to extract some info from this?

(also, Morgan needs to update his software. Cool Edit 1.5.1 indeed.. )

I've just opened a few .wav files in notepad and they do have the {} brackets, but I don't see many places of repeated characters. Most of the characters are boxes or foreign characters, with only a spattering of 'standard' letter characters. I don't suppose this means very much, as I'm sure all .wav files are different, but you never know.

I was playing around with opening that EVP in various other programs. It didn't like it as an image file (when I tried it once, though I'm sure more work can be done with that). It didn't make a ton of sense as a .doc file. It came out to be over 60 pages (and counting, before I closed it down). It was interesting, though. It went from random characters to regular letters of the alphabet and back again. The letters were often in order, though occasionally a few letters seemed to be repeated over and over (though not in the SAME order). Like I saw a lot of Os and Ps, and I saw the word "poop." Shocked No, poop.htm doesn't work. Very Happy But seriously, over in AW2RE they got a huge e-mail with code that first had to be saved as a .zip file, unzipped, then part of what came out was converted to a .jpg which had colored dots on a picture of Uncle Sam, and the coordinates of the dots was ASCII for a set of letters, and the letters were a scrambled message. So umm, I think there's more we could try, but I don't know if we'll necessarily find anything. It could just be one of those "listen to this and turn up your speakers" things that scares the crap outta ya. *shrugs*
