1587622319 as a grid reference

I've searched this and looked through the stickies etc, so please forgive me if I'm stating the bleeding obvious.

I put 1587622319 into Microsoft Autoroute as a OS grid reference, and it comes up at a point approximately 6 miles west of Ramsey Island, off the coast of South Wales.

The exact grid reference is in the sea, but I wondered if anyone else could think of some relevance for it.

Cheers

doh

I'm probably asking the obvious but where did that grid reference come from?

(sorry if I am)

Sorry, should have been more specific.

1587622319 is the reference number from the Inferno Cargo website when you log in with Jon Harker's details.

It doesn't seem to have been used aspart of a puzzle solve yet.

Hmmmm

Good point, BiDi. I'm not sure what you mean by 'OS grid reference'? I know that there are three different ways at the least of plugging numbers into grids, but I'm not sure which one that is. I'd love to do something with it, if it is, though.

I wonder if maybe we should compile a list of clues not used...hmm.

Usually the methods for Grid References in this country are either an OS grid reference given in x & y, usually 6 digits in length for each co-ordinate.

Or:

The OS Landranger system which you see on the most common OS maps available, which is again a 6 digit grid reference prefixed by a 2 letter grid code, this doesn't have to be 6 digits it could just be 2 but the more digits the better the accuracy.

If you recall this number was actually hidden within the web page of Jons Inferno Cargo details and you just did a ctrl-A to reveal the text.

Why hide this info if your not gonna use it somewhere down the line,
It's the same as having a box to enter Jons contract password, why if your not gonna use it?

These must be of some use surely, but in what capacity?
