Right.. looking at the newspaper clipping, we're now missing some information...

What happened after Richard cut off Eric's hand the first time?

Does Eric now have one hand like his brother?

We know he was sent away, and the mention of 'cell' suggests either prison or a mental institute..

How did he escape? Where are their parents?

'Course, I could be wrong. Its only a guess, don't hold me to it. But now that the Tall Man is trailing Richard everywhere ('now' meaing 'at this point in his life'; 'his' meaning Richard's, not the Tall Man's), I don't see why he wouldn't try to help out. Eh, dunno, as I said, don't hold me to it.

 		Not sure if I remember whether or not we got this, I'm sure we probably did, but I can't find/recall.

The 5's in this comment in Layla's Blog are:
