Hmmm.... I'm seriously hoping for a death in The Lab, like in Ben Elton's Dead Famous (quality read)...
Here's to hoping that Scarlett gets a sudden invite to the Lab for no reason at all.... Heh heh heh heh heh

MikeyJ I know exactly what you mean. Imagine this... Three balances, four people, maximum carnage . I especially hate it when I turn away for TEN seconds and some idiot goes and steals my favourite spot .
you know, the one with the good equipment which is right near the solvents an..... Oh, sorry about that.
Anyway, despite my long lasting hatred of all things reality I might actually consider watching this show. The way they view it seems to be much like the way you can view Big Brother on the net, but perhaps with narration during highlights and instant warnings on your key when something important happens. And instant playback to any point during the day from any camera, and a host of other features that would only be avalible if you had the same prevalence of live feeds in your society that Scarlett indicates PxC has.

I don't think they have tv, the paragraph at the end kinda implies the concept of 'television' is alien to them.
well based on scarlett's May 10 blog entry they don't have tv she put it in ""s but she does seem to understand what a broadcast service is so they must have a similar more on demand version of tv media streaming... i know this idea was brought up before ... probably in the the thread on her may 10th blog but i'm to lazy to go look/search right now...

In related news, at a recent media conference the producers of The Lab mentioned they were considering their legal options after discovering that Earth 'television' companies had apparently copied their reality show concept.
well if they are thinking about sueing "Earth" i have a legal option for them... drop it or the cube gets it.

Strange that they've only just cottoned on to this: what sort of earth broadcasts have they been watching for the past decade??!!

Maybe the Lab's a bit like the Cube from the movie - there'd definitely be some carnage then. Plus, it's a massive puzzle to solve!

Pah, surely reality TV has reached it's acme with Celebrity
Shag
Love Island here in the UK? D-List celebs demeaning themselves for my sordid gratification? How can it possibly be improved upon (well, aside from the Bill Hicks suggestion....)?

I admit I'm new to ARGs but I feel that perhaps not everything published is directly related the the game's major puzzle of finding the Cube and some articles in the Sentinal etc are there simply to add colour and background to the environment?
Certainly the article on "The Lab" strikes me as such a piece and I feel it is just a sidewards comment on the prevelence of "Reality TV" we seem to be being bombarded with at the moment.
But then I guess part of the game is sifting the relevent information from the red herrings?

Yes it is true that not every thing is directly related to finding the cube... but trust me that won't stop people/us/me from over analyzing everything anyway...in a few months you'll be doing the same it happened to us all... hell there were sky writers near my house a week ago and i was hopping it was game related... of course it wasn't but, well we were promissed sky writers ...
