Feel free to participate in Neurocam, but don't get too attached.
NEVER give them any personal information such as your specific location or real name.

Neurocam is the second most dangerous thing I have seen on these boards, right after El Centro, and I am so glad I got out of that one before it was too late.

A lot of that stuff about El Centro was not discussed in public forums.
You would understand if you didn't experience it.

This thread from a dying forum is all that remains...
OMEGA is real

Anyway, about Neurocam, its not like that. Feel free to play around, just don't get too close. Nothing on the scale of El Centro- no destructive mind control there Smile

Is there any way you and I can talk about this El Centro?

Being a rather involved Neurocam player, you've piqued my interest. Smile

El Centro really has nothing to do with Neurocam, I was just stating it as an example of something getting too real. I believe there is a thread about it somewhere here.

Anyway, feel free to PM me if you still want to talk about it.

Another West Coast USA potential operative here. Submitted my application and it has been forwarded for the background check. Hopefully I'll get that perception test you all have mentioned soon. If I'm not summarily rejected for some reason.

I like the whole idea of this, I hope it pans out for me.

Wait a minute, are you serious about this El Centro stuff? I only know a little bit about Ong's Hat from background research during the CTW ARG, but what I've seen is quite sinister...

Yeah, it's rather scary at times. I didn't participate in any way in Ong's Hat, I don't know what exactly it was or what came of it. It's all in the past now.

Just out of curiosity, is anyone still completing assignments for Neurocam?

Any reason in particular you are saying this?

About Neurocam? Various stuff I have seen that I won't go into here.

Then of course there's blog posts like
this but that may be a gross overexageration.

...I just totally jumped out of my seat and landed in the pile of crap that magically appeared in pants.

:: Scrolls through the rest of the forum with caution. ::

I am very curious as to what El Centro is/was, but the links provided seemed to just go over my head too far. If anyone could explain to me what it was in smaller words for me in a PM or point me to an explanation of it from the begining, I'd greatly apriciate it.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to change my pants...

I wasn't able to stay with neurocam due to a busy life, but heres the general dichotomy I have seen:

People that I've seen join on forums usually mention that they are having fun and doing interesting things.
Web pages, blogs, and articles that people link you to detail horrendous malicious things that chill you to the core and scar you for life.

So, either the bad stuff only happens to the select, vocal few, or
Theres an enormous amount of "This is so scary you'll shit your pants!" hype intended to tantalize and send chills up your spine. You choose.

Well, from what I've gathered from this, it's only the people who set out to be against Neurocam who are encountering the bad situations.

I don't know if this has been realized already, likely it has, but the whois search no longer shows up with the fake Beverly Hills address. Instead it shows:

Registrant:
neurocam
596 St Kilda Rd
Melbourne
Melbournee, VIC 3000
AU

To people who are more experienced with neurocam, this information might be useless and stupid, I wouldn't know. Googling the address seems to bring up various pages of information. A sample:

You know, that's interesting. Next time I'm down St Kilda way, I'll check the address out. Chances are it'll be an office or something. Thanks for pointing that out Smile
