I've also heard of Xbox Friends, but I don't know how it compares to XBList, having not used either app.

I do reccomend grabbing one though - makes it very easy to know when it's time to turn on the ol' Xbox. Although, sometimes it's almost too tempting... "Work? How can I work when there's Halo to be played?!?"

Well, I just sent that huge email to Frankie, the man, I've been talking about describing all of us around and here and basically challenging the bungie team to a humpday. I actually forget to save it to my email like idiot, but when he sends me a return email I'll post up his reply adn my original email. It linked to all the different parts of the community, this thread and few other Halo 2 threads around here. It linked to TheBruce's site, Coffee's text game thread, the WeLoveBee's site. It described the couple of online clans we have from here plus the two vids that have been put out from here. I described who we were, our ages, and gave him the names of the crew people who are still hanging around here. I mentioned the Hivemeets and how close we stay around here. In my opinion it looked pretty professional, will see what he says, not to get your hopes up, because the man gets a couple thousand emails a day, but hopefully we will stand out to him. The email ended up being slightly long, but it was good. I will post here the second I get an email back!

Tiny you need to ease up on all the insalts... I mean every one elts I can tell is doing it all "in fun and games", but you seem like you mean it... With every thing. Maybe thats why Miriyuu hasn't been on... just a thought.

You can find the Marathon Trilogy files at trilogyrelease.bungie.org... note that if you want to play Marathon 1 you'll have to pick up the M1A1 conversion which is linked on that page.

Abuse is a bit hard to track down, it looks like the official unoffical page is gone.. however, if you do a search for abuse game on google you should find it, and I may have found the Windows port I ran once, but I can't make any guarantees as to if that version actually works worth a damn, as I'm not in the mood to trundle over to my PC and actually install the damn thing.

Myth I don't think is freely available anywhere, although you should be able to find demos available around the 'net, and if you pick up a used copy you can find patches and a still-active playing community at playmyth.net. Same thing goes for Oni - only demos, if you want the whole thing you'll have to find a used copy for PC/Mac/PS2.

Anyone within a reasonable distance of Rochester want to have a Marathon LAN party? I should be able to scrounge up 8 old macs to play it on... We could try Aleph One's IP play, but I don't know how well the netcode works over the Internet. Barring that, we could have a Myth party, although I never really played Myth online and thus suck.

Ok, for the first time, I have to say I didn't have fun at all playing with you guys last night ... There was so much bitching and complaining among ourselves that for a moment I thought I was playing with random people! This all makes me really sad.

I was playing with a buddy of mine and I brought him to play with us. Bad decision. I don't think he'll ever get a sniper rifle again ... Oh and can you believe I can't blow up a banshee without rocket ammo?? Telling me 4-5 times won't help, ya know!

I'm all for strategy and a bit more organization, but not to the point of bitching that was happening last night. If you're going to play that super competitive kind of game, let me know and I'll gladly stay out of the game.

sorry all, I got the invite last night, but I had company over and we were doing other things... I just popped in Live Arcade to see what it was like so I was online... I'll get on very soon maybe sunday night...

I guess a good way to look at it is - at some point there will be good and bad nights... we couldn't expect 'good cheer' to last forever at least now there was a bad night... hopefully it doesn't last, but it'll probably happen again... maybe it was good I didn't join up for a game anyhow
