[SOLVED] ckbook.txt {SD4/MyBuisness/ckbook.txt}

Quote:
DATE CHECK # CATEGORY AMOUNT
1/10 0003 Groceries 176.04
1/12 0005 Rent Late Fee 11.12
1/17 0001 Alarm installation 27.15
1/21 0004 Emergency room 233.33
1/22 0002 New books 100.22

L. wants this by # and amount.

When reordered by check number, the first letter of the catagories spell out anger. When reordered by amount (smallest to greatest), they spell out range. These words don't seem to be a password, but I don't have the program to try the KGB files. I suspect that something needs to be done with them before they will work, anyway.

Re: [PUZZLE] ckbook.txt {SD4/MyBuisness/ckbook.txt}

Actually, I did this and the password "angerrange" will decrypt the 2912079022384.kgb file to open a mat.zip file. When unzipped, you get two images which I've attached. I ahven't had time to really look at them since I'm finding myself more and more busy with work right now, but hopefully you smart folks can figure something out with them. Smile

More readable text. ? indicates I was unsure if this is the actual word in the document.

Repair Materials: Post-Einbruch

250ml of five? grain cement-based grout
-Erick's chemist in Milan is working on the exact color and material and mineral contents based on samples
-Outfitted into special recipticals hidden in the soles of the janitors shoes (Bobby is working on these to fit sizes 42-46, in case first janitor is unwilling to cooperate - but I trust Alex will make sure he does.)
Non metallic grouting tool - also fitted inside the shoe
2.3m? hydraulic suppot beam with lateral stabilizers and 2m x2m platform on top (Severino is designing this)
5 repro replacement tiles - in case any of the four break upon entry (Erick's chemist in Milan is working? on color and content of these as well

Repair Materials: Post Evac

Portable concrete mixer
Concrete chute (must be 6m to reach the basement from street access)
9 tonnes? concrete (must do in small batches for discretion, no larger than 500 liters at a time)
INSERT: This estimate may be high - confirm actual volume needed with Severino
Approx 30-35 cubic meters Italian pine board, for work with concreting? and tunnel bracing

Just as a quick info, the heading "Post-Einbruch" is German and means "break-in into post office", so that the list/letter might contain some information on such a coup.
As for the "Post-Evac(uation)": could also be "Post-Eval(uation), I don't know.
This seems definitely to be related to Gunther, German heading and the talk about fitting instruments inside shoes takes up the theme of the one paragraph in the fake German police report talking about Gunther's arrest ("zog ein Metallstueck aus seinem Gummisohle" means, with some mistakes, "drew a metal piece out of his rubber sole")
So, the German police report might have to be seen/read in conjunction with these documents, I don't know, and under http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=162134#162134 (just as a cross-reference to keep information together) I speculated if this German police report was ciphered, as it looks odd ...)
But, then again, the (now deciphered) file might contain images that are not (once again) ciphered and these pictures might simply be "decoration", who knows. At least, it would be interesting to look for key words such as "SEVERINO" (I believe) on the second image, this might lead to more info if the images in themselves are not ciphered further.

edit: just did a quick Google search: the family/duke of San Severino played a great part in the history of Florence (Italy) http://www.online-literature.com/machiavelli/florence_italy/56/ , so that these files seem indeed to be related to Gunther's activities in Florence, planned break-in at the Uffizi etc. and "post" might simply mean "museum", the rest (tunnels etc.) fit the Uffizi scheme as far as I've read up on what you already found.
Also, there is a place named (like this noble family) "San Severino" near Florence (Italy).

Just as a thought and to try to better understand, how Virgil is ticking/setting up the puzzles:
"angerrange", the concatenation of two words which are an angramm of each other reminds me of the "angel angle" that is the theme of this rant
