http://www.nru.us just went dark. Not sure whether it's a planned outage or not.

I am using IE as well, the site comes up 404 for me. I have it set to check for a new version of the page each time I visit rather than using the cache's stored pages.

Just went to the site in Internet Explorer and it showed up but I then pressed refresh and it said Site Not Found, "No web site is configured at this address." So it must have cached it earlier. The site is still down. It didn't give a standard error message though, so I don't know if this is intentional or not.
Edit: I believe the error code it is returning in the headers when it shows the Site Not Found page is actually a 404 error.

NRU Site Back Up!
Press release in news section:
http://www.nru.us/Press_Releases/20030830.htm
NRU network reconnects to the Internet
New River University's internal network was shutdown briefly on August 29th. Craig Becker, head of NRU security was brief in a statement regarding the shutdown, "We detected multiple attempts to scan NRU's internal network, we logged several attempts for DNS Zone file dumps, ports were being scanned, the list goes on and on. It was a matter of time until attempts of breaking into secure intranet sites would come. We shut down the sites, secured them and now everything is back up and running. I would discourage the person or persons who attempted to get into places they shouldn't have. NRU security will protect assets by any means possible and prosecute to the fullest extent of the law. The good news is NRU network wasn't affected by either of the major threats this week from the blaster worm or the sobig.f virus. NRU Network Operations deserves a pat on the back for their excellence in protecting students, staff, and faculty machines."

The "Back to NRU" button leads to 'http://www.thisisnotagame.com/press_releases.htm'.
The frontpage for that website has not changed.

Source Code Yes, the source code is the default File Not Found page for Internet Information Services. No modifications have been made to the source code.
Also, the link on the press release pointing to that page has been corrected.

NRU mini-update Hello all!
I just noticed that the front page of nru's website has a slight change under the photo of the students...it used to make a mention of the fire but now says :"
Tomorrow afternoon traffic on NRU's streets will be congested. Please allow additional time to find parking while students move into the new student living quarters and personal tours are given inside the V.A. Fock Center for Theoretical Physics."
Hopefully this means that the game will start up tomorrow, on the 'first day of school'.
D-
EDIT: The VA Fock Centre must be the new building (#16) because the name doesn't seem to be on the campus map??
EDIT #2 (sorry): the physics page has this listed: "
The V.A. Fock Center for Theoretical Physics personal tours will begin at 12 noon Monday September 1st. Please arrive with your invitation and 2 forms of identification. Buses will begin shuttle runs at 11:45 am
Hopefully that means it's gonna start 2day! (Yay)

http://qcc.ru/~fock/
Thanks,

Error 403 Image Page I sent in a trouble ticket as I found an error on the images site. When searching through the various press releases and other pics I found that in properties that the adress that the pictures come from is
http:/www.nru.us/images, but when i try to go to that site, it gives me a 403 error, Unautorization message. Is this just a problem with me or do you think it be available later on?

Hello, I think that we don't have access to that part of the site...I tried www.nru.us/images/ and a little fish character came up....try it with the slash?
Just tried it again and it's giving me the error too now...perhaps they're updating images now?
Thx, D-
