Perhaps Scarlett simply borrowed the Cube (as she does so many of Violet's things) and simply misplaced it.

I bet Violet needed the Cube to pay off her gambling debts/bar tab when Scarlett 'borrowed' it and lost it. Wouldn't be the first time a 19 year old girl's borrowed her big sister's things and lost them... I know you wrecked my best coat Jen, you better watch it!

Oh yeah! I don't believe I didn't notice that before! Sadly, my coat was black, but the thought's the same! Actually it's weird, my sister and I are the same ages as Scarlett and Violet...

Hello everybody,
Just wanted to add my thoughts on this "electromagnetic field" reference.
Electromagnetic radiation covers a wide range of wavelengths from gamma rays and x-rays to radiowaves, including visible light and radiant heat.
This means that the cube could be made from almost anything from radioactive material to some kind of man-made device such as a radio transmitter. Doesn't help us much does it? Cheers Scarlett!

Well, Scarlet certainly seems nervous. Anyways, sounds like we're =finally= getting somewhere.

It seemed to me that she really wasn't sure about any of this electromagnetic tracing stuff when she described it, so it may be a bit too early to take all of it as fact yet. Personally I'm not convinced she had any clue how they really traced it. EM field? -We- have had the technology to trace that stuff for a while, so either it's a pretty insignificant amount (if true), or we gotta start digging up weathermaps on recent EM effects in south england =0

So this Cube is a box with flashing lights? (Visible light is part of the EM spectrum). I'll tell my sister (who lives in the SE of England) to be on the lookout for anything flashing.
On a side note, Scarlett doesn't seem very informed for the daughter of the lead investigator of the theft. Or for a budding journalist for that matter. Plus the fact that she uses way too many 'um's and 'er's to be taken seriously as someone to get information from. The radio spot didn't really give us anything new (apart from the EM bit, which isn't really helpful for now).

So much for superior technology, we're actually looking for something from a crap 1970s sci-fi film!

'Twould be cheaper to maunfacture OOG than an omni - dimensional tesseract...oh, and function effectively according to known physical laws

Cube 3 was alright. Still didn't match the original though.
