Can anyone explain the answer to the last question? It still doesn't make sense to me how we were supposed to find a number with no specific question...

Actually, the question and answer are on this page. The question is in sapagoo's last post (check the spoiler tag). In monkeypants' last post, a link was posted to a riddle which is what the previous spoiler refers to. While the riddle itself is pretty easy, the specific piece of information that mrenigma was asking for was somewhat hard to decipher/guess. Once the "hint" was given, it was pretty clear what was wanted: essentially, the hint says that the solution is the number of trips across the river necessary to solve the riddle. My solution/link is merely an answer to that question. Hope that helps...

Hey, finally something I can help with! My OSHA training tells me that those diamonds are NFPA warning labels for hazardous materials. The blue part denotes health risk, the red part denotes flammability, the yellow part denotes reactivity, and the white part gives any special comments. Check it out:

http://www.pp.okstate.edu/ehs/TRAINING/Nfpadiam.htm

and

http://siri.uvm.edu/ppt/safetyorient2/img4.html

Unfortunately, I have no idea what those numbers mean because in real-life applications, the white section doesn't show a number, and the numbers for the other 3 sections don't go above 4.

"RedKore" almost eliminated
"CTW" ended.

Life goes on, and on. Somethings live and some shows are cancelled for poor ratings. Sad

Although I'm willing to follow this, the problem is...... in order to understand #6 you need someone a whole lot smarter than me.

I dont know what it means, anyone know poetry?

First Section: From "A Red, Red Rose" by Robert Burns: http://www.bartleby.com/101/503.html

Second Section: From "Against the Crusades" (in the book "Last Blue: Poems") by Gerald Stern: http://www.pshares.org/issues/article.cfm?prmarticleID=4239

Third Section: From "Yellow Brick Road": http://storywrite.com/Poem/187070

Last Section: From "White Oleander": http://allpoetry.com/Poem/275265

Colors certainly seem important here....

Anyone (mrenigma?) care to explain to me how that was the answer to the 6.htm puzzle?

Looks like maybe some kind of mathematical formula. First, determine some number for each section of the text. Then:

1. Subtract section 2 from section 1
2. Divide the result by section 3
3. Add the result to section 4
4. Either the "X" at the end means you have the answer, or that something needs to be multiplied. But that would suggest a fifth number, and we've only got 4 sections...

The possible "numbers" could be based on the color related with the poem?

It wasn't an answer.. it was a hint.. The answer is:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
By looking at the signs under each poem (example, first one is Red and has a minus sign under it) and performing that operation on the same color from the original grid on 6.html we get

Red (subtraction) = 96-3-30-40 = 23
Blue (division) = 76/2/2/19 = 1
Yellow (addition) = 1+7+0+1 = 9
White (multiplication) = 5*1*2*2 = 20

23,1,9,20 = w,a,i,t

Well i have part of the solve. Just view the Source and it mentions he can be found at teacher. Then to tell him what it is that Mr. Enigma lacks. The clue to what he lacks is that we've said it of him beofre. What he lacks is patience.

Now for the actual meat of the solve. I got to thinking of the word teacher, and everything I've herd of the word.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's been said for ages that Time is the ultimate teacher. Hence how I found this.

http://www.geocities.com/doyoulikeriddles/time.htm

Edit:
I did a little searching with our pal google. The verses are parts of poems (duh). Anyway in order these are the poems, and the authors names

A Red, Red Rose - Robert Burns
Against The Crusades - Gerald Stern
Yellow Brick Road - Mystysaint
White Oleander - LadyXofX9XLives (aka Ginna Keevan)

the last 2 can only befound at one place. http://allpoetry.com

the last poem White oleander was written July 3, 2003 so it's really new

Umm, Osmodius..

Great work but I think all you needed to do is just read this page of the thread because we already covered all that.. mr enigma himself gave us time.htm which was a hint for solving 6.htm which lead us to wait.htm

now I think the last one is something he wants us to do individually..
