[PUZZLE/SOLVED] right.htm

Ugh, finally. Laughing

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
A number of e-mails from Layla into it, we got "Pica hudsonia" (which is a rot of "cvpn uhqfbavn" but of course didn't look like something of significance). Googled it to find that it's a magpie. A MAGPIE! I could cry... Anyway, we got:

http://www.freewebs.com/morganparanormal/magpie.htm

Which has the text:

"There was a subdued air, when the play was performed, but it didn't bother me too much. After all, I had my part. Evans had had an accident. That's what understudies were for, yes?

I said my lines, the audience clapped. Xazlael was there, watching me. They had me wear a special stuffed glove for the part, so it would look like I had two hands. Xazlael could have taken care of it.

There was no one in the auditorium now, and I sat with my legs dangling off the stage. The magic of the play was gone now, replaced by a different sort of magic, the eerie darkness, and my constant companion who materialized beside me.

"Hello there my boy," he purred.

I didn't reply.

"Now, now, are you sulking again? You got what you wanted. You played your part, and magnificently, I might add."

I shrugged.

He looked down at me. "What is that on your wrist?" he asked, pursing his lips.

I shrugged again. "They mold te to pear it for the wart."

I watched him frown, and then suddenly reach out and pull the glove off me, exposing my scarred, useless wrist.

"Hey!"

He grabbed my face, and stared at me. It was the first time I saw his eyes. They were deep amethyst purple, and it looked as though they went on forever.

"Listen to me," he whispered. His breath was warm, and his nose was less than an inch from mine. "you want to be whole? You want that hand of flesh and blood? I will show you the way, but you must follow me, and never hesitate. Not for a moment, my boy."

I stared into his eyes and I felt my 'self' melt away. Somewhere in my mind, I had realized that Eric was right, Xazlael was a being of the darkness.

But I also realized that the darkness was the only place that would accept me."

Poor Richard. Sad Anyway, this was in the source code: "grisly faith"

Also, there's another image at the bottom. It's titled "widdershins.bmp" (which can't be uploaded) and it's the middle of found.htm (which we already got - oops!). Widdershins, apparently, means counterclockwise.
