Hmmmm, I checked the Get to know us link on the Avelon site and there isn't a listing for Emily Bunn, but a listing for Emily Thomas and a listing for Tracy Bunn. I'm really new here but, do I smell a puzzle here?? Or just an honest error?

E-mail response from Avelon

I used the contact us E-mail from avelon tech page to request some info about the company and got a response. I'm not sure if it's an autoresponse or not. I may get some contact from Harry Avelon or Lyle Boucher -- anyone else get this E-mail from adminSPLATavelontech.com?

In case anyone is interested in the continuing saga of Eric the ATB, I responded to his last E-mail with:

And the answers are sort of complicated to someone who is not here and can see what I do. So, I'm going to give you an "image" of what it looks like in Derks' room. Right now I am sitting at the computer, which is located on the north wall. The computer is what we use to load things into the patients head. Minor things, such as another person, a hole in the wall, a dog across the street, things like that, can be done by the programmers themselves. More major changes, such as a complete mind erase and reboot, must be done using the password that only Richard has. The program then takes that information and "updates" that person. In regards to Derk, since he had been in a coma for 17 years prior to coming here, he didn't get a chance to learn the things that you and I would. So, the computer inputs that information for him. This is how he can read and write. If this "update" wasn't done, then, in Derks' case, you would have a 3 year-old in a 23 year olds' body. In other words, he would not be able to function properly in the world that we have created for him.

Now onto your next question.. how is he able to communicate? Well, he's connected to a computer. That's for starters. You may have noticed that our IPs' are the same. That's because I am currently using the same computer that Derks' "ARM" is connected to. That is how I am able to get into his blog and his world. The rest of the answer has a little to do with me. As you may recall, programmers are aloud to make small changes to the software without the password. One of those chages is to give the person the ability to use the computer that he or she is connected to, if you give the program a good reason as to why the change is being made. I don't recall the exact reason I gave, but the long and short of it was "Ummm, it's the 21st Century and I'd like Derk to be living in it." Derks' decision to start the blog was his alone.

I hope that this answers some of your questions. If not, please feel free to e-mail me back either through AvelonTech or through here. Don't worry about Eric. He never really reads any of the messages, he only looks at who it is addressed to and sends it along.

Well, I got another e-mail from Eric about my appointment. This one contains some information that could really help us out.

So, if it's a question's about "ARM" or the "patients", those usually go to Harry. If it's a program question, those go to Richard... etc, etc. In other words, if you want to ask Emily a question about the program, and don't address it as such, chances are it could end up in Richards' mailbox. Okay? okay.
