But where could the second half of the message be hidden. I put numbers.wav on everything with no results.... so far.

Another interesting thing I found when de-stegging the "hiddinwithin.gif" file....

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
We all know it says "The key is within... Jcfimeoetc"
When I ran it through a simple substitution decryption program, it came back with "and therein". As previously posted, the same sequence through a Vignere Cipher (keycode is "within", not raziel) gives "numberswav".

Not that it really adds anything, but it's pretty interesting none the less.

This puzzle is not finished.

I just got phoned.... no doctor, no angels, no voices at all. Just numbers.wav being played down the phone.

Any chance it was a new numbers.wav or the old one?

No, they wouldn't give us a new puzzle through the phone, heh. This is just telling us 'solve the damn thing!'.

Any new ideas?

I found a program here, but I can't figure out the passphrase:

http://www.ecn.org/crypto/soft/stego.phtml

tried raziel, Raziel, sefer-raziel, within, timid, cache, and shibboleth so far....

Anyway, if any of you folks are windows users, the usage from the command line is:

steghide extract -sf numbers.wav -p [passphrase]

To save you having to read the manual.
