I'm curious to know how you get them to play. My wife has no interest. At all. The most I get out of her is a shout-out to the gamertags she recognizes. My daughter, of course, would love to play, but she's too young. Most nights, she asks me if I'm going to play Halo after she goes to bed, because (so she tells me) it's easier for her to go to sleep listening to it.

My wife always liked video-games. She used to own a Super NES and would love platformers. I also used to play Street Figther II with her all the time! In fact, we played that on the VG Exhibit in Chi! Don't ask who won though (with a Perfect, no less), she reads the forums now and will be mad at me! Mr. Green

On this gen, she loves the Silent Hill series for some reason. We plays some co-op together, like Baldur's Gate and Hunter. Bringing her to Halo is not an easy thing, being an FPS and all. Getting past the motion sickness is a huge thing! After the hivemeet, she's more open to play with us and I'm sure she'd have some fun! She still has a hard time with the FPS controls, but having some experience with VG in general certainly helps.

You can't force them into doing something that they have no intrest in. I know my wife enjoys certain games more than others. But her thing is to watch me play to get the story. Deus Ex, Jade Empire, and anything with real time fighting are her favs to watch. Fighting games and competitive puzzle games are her fav to play. She only plays Halo rarely...and is very good at it after warning up.

That's right. Feed that addiction early!

Last night was weird...

By 10pm CST there was no one on...Weephun came on a little after 10:30 or so and we played gome great games with his crew...but, most of the regs logged off early last night...

Weird...

Krystyn and I and a very fun time shooting each other in a Slayer match on Warlock...(beware the blue spyders Very Happy ) Then all of a sudden, POOF! (in a cloud of purple haze and a slight smell of brimstone) Dante, Guygus and a few others showed up and all Hades broke loose.

Got together for some fun BTB games and things were going well...then it happenned..

People were dropping like flies...almost like getting spawn killed on a Coag Snipers match with Twisted, Vash, Dante and Mutant...

I had to get to bed!

And yeah! That was so weird. Uber and I were just kicking each other's butts on Warlock (I had just been splashing around the map by myself), and right when I was beginning to lose my focus a bit, a whole mess of people logged on and it got a bit wacky.

I asked Ubercado this, and I am pretty sure I didn't see one, but is it true that there's no plasma pistol on Warlock? It was sort of a weird realization: I was skipping backwards across one of the platforms, as Ubercado was running up the ramp to it, and I am pinging him with the BR as I am asking, "hey! is there, um (POW POW) a plasma (POW!) pistol on this map?"

/me runs away, only to die in an aura of blue ...

No, no plasma pistol of doom on Warlock, thank god, otherwise I'd hate that map even more. Twisted Evil Who was that creepppy kid that was stalking krystyn? Scarey, I told him she was taken but alas, that did naught to dissuade him, I think he humped her corpse about 300 times...Sad I mean, thats taking creepy to a whole new level.
I left soon afterwards too. It was odd, everyone went to sleep all early like, normally I'm the first to go away.
Oh, and still no reply from Brian, I'll send him 'nother email if he doesn't reply by next week.

Due to:
...[rant about clan and gameplay problems]
I've created clan
...[ranting about why I created this clan]
Anyway, just thought I saw a need and I might be able to do something to help. If it's a success, great. If it's a failure, well that's life, huh?

EDIT: edited for being a waste of space.

.........

And the current level of excitement about this seems to lend itself to me just giving up and joining Evade 3 as it seems to be the more relaxed clan already.

What say ye? Is this needed, or just a bunch of extra work/headache for me?

yeah, Weeph, i don't know if we want more splitting and such

alot of the time, i feel as you do, i just want to relax and goof around and chat with friends after a hard day's work, not stress myself out.

maybe we all just need to communicate better, like simply saying "what mood is everyone in?". And being honest, not just replying with "whatever" when you really wanna play hardcore elimination slayer. if we actually talk about what we want, the casual players can hang out and the hardcore can hang out without the need for any animosity between the two groups

Great, then somebody send me an invite to E 3 and I'll just be happy. Send one to my buddy Shontu too (played as a lurker but helped me get lots of phones answered).
