Our apologies for the delayed response.

We are currently relocating our warehouse, normal operation should
resume in a couple of days.

Yeah, I didn't get that message... :/ Not yet at least. *checks e-mail again* Nope. I'm half tempted to e-mail him again complaining about the long wait. Razz I won't though. Don't want to burn bridges...

Random question - did you guys specify that your address is a US address (assuming you're in the US)? I was thinking, if he's in Europe, maybe we need to specifically state that we're in whichever country we're in. Did you guys do that or not? I didn't...

No, I didn't specify, but I did ask that we communicate in English, and seeing as the address is IN the USA... *shrugs* I hoped they might figure.

Guess we'll just wait and see. Smile

Did anyone else get some mail today? Very Happy

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Got the datacard, after all. It's a very tiny thing, can fit into the palm of my hand. Have no idea what to do with it, so have e-mailed Omnifam. Still waiting on the reply.

And the package was sent from the Netherlands. No unusual markings, or any other info, apart from the disc.

New mission!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Op 202A
Operatives: Congratulations on successfully obtaining the datacard. I knew we could count on you. The card needs to be delivered to one of our associates in Chicago. We have him in deep cover at a biotech research facility. Contact him by email at h.meierSPLATmethusalabs.com. He is expecting an invitation to lunch from a "friend of Arvin's." He'll decline the lunch, but will then offer to meet and he will specify a time and location.

You must bring the datacard to the meeting wrapped in a local newspaper. He will also have a newspaper sitting next to him on a bench. After you make contact, he will leave with your newspaper. Remain seated for at least 10 minutes to divert attention away from any surveillance teams allowing him the opportunity to vacate the area safely.

This is VERY IMPORTANT. If he detects any surveillance and is unsuccessful in his counter-surveillance measures, he will destroy the card to preserve his cover and the mission will be considered a failure.

You're crappin' me! Here's the e-mail I got today:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
[EDIT 1]: Of course, once I post the e-mail, it's already posted on here. Very Happy Anyway...

[EDIT 2]: If you log into the Omnifam web site, the e-mail is pretty much right there under the missions part.

Holy Christmas! This is suddenly getting incredibly interesting... I, however, have yet to get any special mail. I'm wondering, too, if we'll have to get someone in Chicago to make this drop off, or if he'll just "happen to be in town" or something like that.

Ahh! I am rather excited!

Haven't received anything in the mail, though I did receive the e-mail from "Operator."

I'll be in Chicago for a work-related seminar... but not until the end of July.

Of course, it's only a five-hour drive from here - so if no one else is closer, I suppose I could manage a special trip Smile

I'd need to get the datacard though...

Ngakpa Jim -

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
have you e-mailed the methusalab worker yet? I'm kinda confused about how this will work. I would send you my datacard, but from the sound of things, the meet would be over before it arrived.

speaking of the datacard...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It contains a GPG file, called 'formulae' have no idea what to do with this file, and neither do my family. Seems like its gonna be fairly heavily encrypted. If anyone could suggest a program or detailed instuctions, I'd be overjoyed. Or, if you want the file, i'll copy it and e-mail it. or something

No - not yet. I don't want to set-up or schedule anything without having received a datacard yet. I *assume* one is coming because I received the e-mail

And about the datacard (help!!)

What in the world is a GPG file? I'd be happy to receive an e-mail copy at JamesDOTFosterSPLATtuiDOTedu

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Yeah, I think one will be coming then. It just seems weird, to send me one, when they know i'm in the UK.

datacard:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
It's an encrypted file, apparently: http://www.linuxjournal.com/node/4892/print

I've left the disk upstairs with my stepfather, who is a lot better at this stuff than me. But as soon as i get i back (probably tomorrow) will definitely e-mail you a copy. Think it's a few MB though, but if thats okay with you, i have no objections Smile
