Clues in Reggie's Blog? Hello All,
I'm a bit new to this game and I've tried to bring myself up to speed as much as possible. So while reading Reggie's blog, I may (or may not) have found some interesting things.
Note: I hope that this isn't a waste of your time (or that someone else has mentioned this).
The second "Tuesday" entry ends with "setec astronomy" and a quick Google search gives me this article,
http://www.elecdesign.com/Articles/Index.cfm?ArticleID=5390
which explains that setec astronomy is some organization in a movie called Sneakers and some people steal a code-breaking machine from them.
Why does Reggie make reference to this? I suspect that it's a clue to solve the game's puzzles by trying decrypting in-game data, but that's kinda obvious. And in the other entrys he says "the smart people deciphered messages", which I assume is a reference to the solutions to the Tests. Or maybe Reggie is just rambling. Does anyone have any theories?
Other things probably worth mentioning:
The last "Thursday" entry: Reggie mentions "the scales of justice" and that "i'm not crazy you know. i'm balanced. like a seesaw. up down up down."
More rambling?
The last Tuesday entry: "flip a coin. heads or tails. heads or tails. in god we trust. e pluribus unum."
E Pluribus Unum means "Out of many, one."
Both of these things talk about opposing states; up and down, heads or tails. Even more rambling? I'm I looking too deep here?
I suggest to read all of Reggie's blog entries to put all the quotes I've selected in context. It's hard to get any meaning from them without the rest of the entry to support it.
Anyone inspired?

I'm an idiot I AM SUCH AN IDIOT.
My appologies to ramiles, I had read almost all of the posts (more than 75% I reckon) except a few, including ramiles' post on the setec astronomy thing (which I just read after I wrote my post). I hope I didn't piss you (or anyone else) off. Maybe this post could be moved to his post as a reply.
Please don't hate me, everyone.

It might be worth noting that the scales of justice are depicted in the background of the logo for CFRG. You can see a picture of a blindfolded woman, holding the scales of justice in her left hand, and a sword in her right. This is a physical depiction of justice, who was also a Greek goddess known as Themis. Also interesting is that there is a person named George Themis on the NRU endowments page. Part of me thinks there's something going on, but mostly I'm thinking it's just the PM being creative and tying everything together nicely.
As far as Reggie's blog goes... the things I've noticed as strange, that I haven't seen anybody post about anywhere, are the links at the end of every entry. He ends each post with a time (presumably when he posts the entry), and each time is a link that essentially scrolls your browser until that entry is at the top of the window. What catches me as strange are the names of the links. Here are all of them so far:
<a href="#94652070">2:26 PM</a>
<a href="#94469230">1:46 PM</a>
<a href="#93060947">11:33 AM</a>
<a href="#91810422">5:58 PM</a>
<a href="#91097148">6:22 PM</a>
<a href="#90548029">2:38 PM</a>
What are these all about? At first I thought they were UNIX timestamps, but they just don't work out correctly. I would be sure this was a puzzle, if it weren't for the fact that a blog gets updated occasionally, so Reggie is likely to add to this list. So if they are a puzzle, it's not the kind that you have to have all the numbers to solve. Maybe each one leads to a URL on his page or something. Or I could be full of crap. That certainly happens all the time...

You have some interesting observations...but maybe the times are the times that he entered the blogs into his 'journal'...perhaps all the blogs have that and it helps when they are longer (pages) to go to the next one?
Just a thought...

The timestamps are when the entries are made. The links are "permalinks" for each entry. Blogger can also be set up to archive each entry individually, but since there are so few entries in Reggie's blog, it's probably set up to have all entries archived on the same page. The weird long numbers are just auto-generated anchor tags. Most blog software does something similar.

I guess I wasn't clear in my post... obviously, the times are when the updates were made, that much I never doubted. The links are pretty standard too, I didn't question any of that. My post was mainly about what seemed to be random anchor tag names. I had no idea that most blog sites auto-generated things like this, I really don't ever read blogs, so that was new to me. Thanks for that tip...

Just a reminder that the CDs we received in Las Vegas were addressed "To: Smart People".
