[PUZZLE] Morgan's Paranormal update: 09 June 05

The front page of MP updated with image.jpg, which Hikari decoded as so:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Take all the letters marked "III" and it spells "weareblind", which leads to the next page

The new page is completely blank (no hidden text or invisi-tagged stuff) except for triangle.jpg, below.

Solved - (wooh! first solve)

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
shift everything by one left on the keyboard layout :

two orphens // sent packing // down the river
(left // right // down ))

could be two orphens, down the river, sent packing as well - depending on order of reading..

Edit:
- the quote triggered Randy's thoughts on some story of orphans sent down the river - starting with R's or something
- Mossy then found the people in question (Romulus and Remus)
- I plugged it in and found:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Each of the numbers on romulusandremus.htm when added together give a number. This is a number of the alphabet, spelling out swordplay. --Drewbear

This leads us to: http://freewebs.com/morganparanormal/swordplay.htm

The text on swordplay is encoded with a Vigenere cipher with the key "fibonacci". The key was determined because in the source of swordplay.htm the text "_aabcehmv" is hidden, which is a fibonacci pattern.

----------
It will take a few days of preparation before we were ready to summon the Tall Man. Layla said there were preparations to be made. She was the one making them though, and I was the one standing around and doing nothing. What a reversal.

The again, Layla was hardly herself, muttering over incantation, and practicing complex sigils, I think Eric is sharing her mind almost constantly. Not possessing but…. Anyway, I'm glad Richard seems to have given up on me, for the moment. Although, I guess we do need Eric's help.

So I sigh and stare at the sword Layla's entrusted me with. I'm supposed to protect her while she's sealing the Tall Man, but I don't know how to use a blade. Well, I better learn real fast.

I'm sitting on the couch. Layla's up in the tower. She says she's safe there. She's probably right. So whose footsteps did I hear?

Looking up, it's Richard. My grip on the blade tightens. Are you a good witch or a bad witch, I don't ask. It could be either side of him. He seems a damn sight younger than when he was inside my mind last. Sixteen maybe.

He's looking at me with that icy self-superior stare of his. Makes me want to wipe the smirk off his cherubic face.

"Oh," he says, "Yits ou."

I nod.

"Dat are you whoing with Eric's sword?" he demands.

"I was given it," I reply a little defensively.

"Fo tight more fy brother?" he laughs. "When the're all doomed."

My gaze darkens.

The brat sighs and says. "Hou're yolding it wrong. Met le yow shou."

So, for the rest of the afternoon it seemed I'd be recieving fencing lessons from a ghost.

...?

I don't understand. It gave one? Then how'd you get the whole word? *boggles* Neutral

19 23 15 18 4 16 12 1 23

The sum of each group of two numbers is the letter number.

Aah, okay. Sorry. I get it now. The way it was phrased made me think you added all of the numbers together, got one big number and... You get the idea. *Scurries away*

Aaah! I was thinking the same thing, Britt! Ah but then again why would he bother talking to him or offering to teach at all? Well whatever... haha, yes, very cool.

It's very out of character for Richard to help.

Hmmm...

Maybe it's a way for Richard, and perhaps TTM, to 'connect' to Morgan so they can possess him.

On a side note, I don't think the bounding spell will work.

By definition, TTM is bound to that ring, hence why he could come and go when Richard needed him/didn't want him but 'had' him.

Unless that ring was destroyed and I missed it, TTM might get sucked into a plothole. Those things are like blackholes, never see whatever goes in again!

Actually... that might work, let's make a plothole to trap TTM in a logic loop forever.

Obes. Twisted Evil

PS. Can I torture TTM yet?
