Virgil and Emile whine at have a conversation with each other:
http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/nisha/secret/mailinbox/0173.html

I think Virgil is saying "But why Frank" at the beginning. ? Emile says, "He was not working out." - could that be Scapegoat? Or one of the others who were fired? "The only one who *liked* me any more," says Virgil.

Virgil says " The staring and the whispers...it was in the 'arrangement'...you said that..." and then Emile says, "Oh come on, Virgil, they all knew...do you have any idea what it's like to lose everybody's respect like that..."

They all knew what?

My guess is that they all knew about Virgil's secret "inner circle" and Emile didn't.

Actually - to me it sounds more like the reason that Emile left. Something happened way back when and it caused Emile to lose the respect of everyone so he had to leave.

Emile PM messages from stolen a3 forum

I am posting these here as they go with this thread... Rowan if they need to be moved to interaction or linked, please help me out with that. My feeling is that stuff in interaction gets overlooked, but I could be mistaken.

rose,

I just read a disturbing message from someone named bunksteve, who claims he has been listening to private phone calls between me and Virgil. Do you know this person?

This bunksteve seems concerned about Virgil's worsening mental state; he even thinks he might have schizophrenia. I didn't feel comfortable confiding in this person, but it's true, things have been getting very strange around here lately. I've been trying to stay focused on the game, but I'm really worried about Virgil. However he came about his information, bunksteve's assessment that Virgil is "falling apart" unfortunately seems right on the money. He seems okay, cheery almost, one minute, then he'll fly off into a rage the next, yelling some crazy stuff at no one in particular.

The other day I peeked in his office and saw him pacing around one of the guest chairs in his office, wagging his finger and yelling, like he does when he's chewing someone out, but there was nobody else in his office, and I didn't see a phone earbud in his ear. I couldn't make out what he was saying, but it sounded like he was addressing this invisible person as "Darkly" or "Arkly" or something.

Besides the pressure of the game, and all the emotional knots he's tied into over worrying about Nisha, I just know there's something else going on with him that he's not telling me about. I've all but given up trying to get him to open up to me, as he seems completely closed off to everyone in the office, even me. I know you retrievers are pretty good detectives, and you seem to have his best interest at heart, so if you guys could keep me updated with any info you might find out, that'd be great. I know it sounds weird, since I see him every day, and you guys don't even really know him, but you guys seem to have a knack for digging up info. I don't know, I just don't really know who else to turn to, since Virgil doesn't really have any friends to speak of.

Anyway, enough babbling from me, I've got to get back to work. Thanks.

hey emile - hang in there ok:)

sorry I just got your message from the 16th. My life has been a bit crazy too.

Listen, the phone calls between you and virgil are accessible from

http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/nish...inbox/0172.html

and

http://iannet.lastresortretrieval.com/nish...inbox/0173.html

Someone named "worry", who is the most annoying person ever, sent them to Nisha. We don't know who worry is or how he (or she) manages to access conversations between you and virgil.

As for Arkly, I think that Virgil is referring to someone named arclight, which explains a bit to me why the searchlights are on the left side of the "new", to me anyway, background.

I will do my best to keep you posted, the A3 forum is a good place to look for updates.

I am not sure what is happening to Virgil. I hope he comes out of this whole episode but I don't see it ending happily for him at the moment.

I am not sure if you have children, but if you do have a Happy Father's Day.

One thing I know for certain is that the Retrievers will stick with this until it is resolved.

Rose

PS. Someone said that in the last phone call you were upset about not knowing what was going on.. do you mean the "hidden" stuff we found?
Or something else.
