[CofB][TRAILHEAD] "THE CONSPIRACY OF B"

Hello.

My name's John Walker - I'm a writer for PC Gamer UK, and I recently wrote a large feature about ARGs for the magazine. I mention this so as to explain why I might have received this email, and also to point out that I'm no part of whatever this might be. I'm aware that I might be one of ten billion people to receive similarly personalised trailheads, so apologies if I've failed to notice the rest.

On Monday morning I received the following email

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Good day, Mr. Walker (or the appropriate time for when you are
accessing this email).

CONGRATULATIONS,
YOU ARE THE FIRST LINK.
YOU MUST HELP ME ANSWER THIS MYSTERY.
THE CONSPIRACY OF B IS TOO MUCH FOR ME.
WAIT FOR IT.
. _ . _ . _ . . . . . . _ _ . _ . _ . . . .
_ . _ _ _ . _ . . . _ _ _ . . . _ . . _ _ _ _
_ _ . _

Excuse me. There is a slightly eventful happening that is about to
happen I must attend to. I would like you to post at your esteemed
blog this email. Even you are a pawn to the rest, Mr. Botherer.

Six Doors Ago
"Open. Close. Open. Close."
http://sixdoorsago.blogspot.com

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

I've posted it on my blog as asked, which is here:

http://botherer.cream.org

And the comments have already found a few bits and pieces, including:

http://www.whatisthiswhyareyouhere.net.tc/

Someone has reported a page with a lot of adverts appearing somewhere, so again apologies if this is a trail leading to nothing but such disappointment. Whatever the case, it seems appropriate to post the details here.

What does it all mean? What is the Conspiracy of B? And why was Lacy killed?

I see we've already got a forum subname.

*Lots of gun loading, giant robot powering up, and cool *shiing* sounds*

I'm up for this one.

Well, the first thing I thought of was morse code, but then why would underscores be used? The idea of open/close makes me think of binary circuitry, so I substituted dots ofr 1s and underscores for 0s.

1010101111110010101111010001011100011101100000010

Nothing there either, it seems. Each character has a space between, except for the first, as well. Any ideas?

Try to get a message from his picture: http://seacoastnh.com/louis/res/mystic.jpeg
To be honest, I'm sick ad tired of new ARGs where everything is based on decoding some code, finding text in pictures... I mean... Give me something new, please! Where's some intelectual work for me???

I don't know how, but this botherer fella derived this from the message:

ENCHANTEDINORUMSDOTTK

which is, of course...

enchantedinorums.tk

It's a webforum with only one post, and it's certainly an interesting one.

God damn this connection; it's just so slow.

If you are reading this, then I must hand over these to you. It is an envelope addressed to "Benedict Vargas" and contains a gold watch, a broken piece of a walking cane, and this odd letter. I will try to scan it, but as I said, the connection is too slow for me.

the letter reads:

"Dears Sirs

"Please be informed that memos for Phase One have been sent out. You will find them

"Six Doors Ago."

Scrawled in a hasty pencil script (looks like a girl's handwriting), is the words
"OPERATION NOT SUCCESSFUL - SUBJECTS 2, 6, 7, AND 12 ESCAPED."

Anyone else thinking "I'm late, I'm late, I'm late for a very important date?"

Rabbithole indeed.

Ok, don't know if this means anything, but
www.enchantedforums.tk
is the exact same website. So why change it to the nonsensical enchanted inorums?
Edit.
I did some poking around the enchanted forum (signed up as well... "Duckie" is NOT in game, thank you), and came up with one site belonging to one of the mysterious deleted members. I'm not posting it for now, as I'm not sure its related, though it very mysteriously mentions three very mysterious letters. A.R.G.
Edit 2.
Looking at the six doors ago blog, it seems more and more like it was translated by a machine from another language. Dunno if this helps, it just really reads that way.

I tried http://www.abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijk.com

It seems to be just an online email providor.

"abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijk.com" I would assume is OOG.

I received this two days ago while I was away:

"Hey

I think I can help you. Your blog post mentioned sixdoorsago.blogspot.com and The Conspiracy of B. Well, you had the code (as promised at the blog). Whew. Thanks.

The morse code I have no idea what it means, but I got an email telling me I was the THIRD LINK, and it instructed me to find you (and the second link, i don't know who that is) and give you this.

http://www.whatisthiswhyareyouhere.net.tc

Seems to be some kind of form, but I don't know what is means.

Get your FREE world's longest alphabetical email address now! Go to http://www.abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzabcdefghijk.com

I don't know if he is real, or what. I've replied to him asking if he might have a connection with me.

I've put everything I have so far into my blog:

No, I think he meant the page with the forms itself. There are side banners and a popup or two. Later in your comments system he said "actually, there aren't as many as I remember."

Unless I'm misreading it.

Ah, I see. I use Mozilla and so am not troubled by such things. Nor aware of them.

Yeah, me too, but I knocked out ad blockers for a second to see if anything interesting cropped up.

Just ads, unsurprisingly.

As I said before ..I`d contact Adam Fritz ....I did ..and I put the subject as it was mentioned there " They Know Too Much " ...and I typed i the mail

what is that much that we know ...and what are we supposed to know anyway ? ....

here`s the reply

---------------------------------
You tell me. You've managed to reach me this far.

Congratulations. You are now officially embroiled with a mystery nobody knows about.

----------------------------------

that was the reply I`ve got

EDIT #1 we have to find out what does Open . Close . Open . close . means .....

EDIT #2 It was said that ENCHANTEDINORUMS and ENCHANTEDFORUMS are the same ....I smell an Anagram ..and if u looked at the picture D-classified ) the logo on the left side that belongs to lazarus ) .....there is a site wrriten on it ..while it belongs to another site ...that has nothing to do with the site written on it ....does it have to do with anything or Am I just imagining ...Smile
