Hi all

have just taken another look at the H* site, the weather map as I just can't shake the feeling that this has something in.

and I'm sure that in the bottom left hand corner I can read butterfly and 17 directly above it.

this could be coincidence or it could be that I am just seeing this cos I 'know' that the butterfly should go in that position with that number but it's worth a closer look I think.

and the more eyes the better!!

Like I wrote earlier:Ophis - that mean snake in latin, Jon has written something about a snake in the grass in his coche. I think the snake symbolise the snake in paradise that gave the aple to Adam and Eva

Adam and eva = People
forbidden aple = Luxury
The snake = Satan = Sable and shuck and the Man in black[/u]

I have doing some thinking and heres whats came:
Remember that Jon has a few apples at home, theyre clues. The aples are forbidden fruits, under the aple on the desk in the stydying room lies one half of a S&S note. It means that the aple come from S&S
There three more aples in a basket in the kitchen next to a beeropener I think that means that the beer side needs another look, the beer has something to do with S&S

If anyone wants to brainstorm, or just desperately go through the final details, then we may as well pop back into #sableshuck on irc.chat-solutions.org (use mIRC or the unfiction java chat). I'll loiter in there if anyone else wants to come too.

For old time's sake Wink

Trout if needs be, but look here http://www.channel4.com/film/reviews/feature.jsp?id=131908

it's all Stella

plus, altho it's probably not relevant, Exit Music For A Film was the title of a Radiohead track. Thom Yorke, Radiohead's lead singer, worked with UNKLE on a track called Rabbit In The Headlights....

edit: actually, that site relates to something called Edit Music For A Film

the name Stella Artois is the same as on the beerlabel. And I think I have read that atella means star.
check:
http://www.beerlabels.com/labels/labels.pl?beer=Stella-Artois-Beer;id=2414
Found this one now but I think its an old fart:
http://www.stella-artois.com/landing.html
Everything goes in circles! But this could maybe be a clue

yeah, i had a look too.

look hard and there are grid refernces all over in the following pattern

5 4 3 2 1

8 9 10 11 12

17 16 15 14 13

the only number missing is the number 6
and 17 IS in the bottom left hand corner

in the hiding room flash code there's quite a few video files

"Video_2_5_0.flv", "Video_2_6_0.flv", "Video_2_6_1.flv", "Video_2_5_1.flv", "Video_desk_0_1.flv", "Video_desk_0_0.flv", "Video_desk_1_0.flv", "Video_desk_1_1.flv", "Video_opensafe.flv", "Video_closesafe.flv", "Video_2_2_0.flv", "Video_2_2_1.flv", "Video_2_3_0.flv", "Video_2_3_1.flv", "Video_2_4_0.flv", "Video_2_4_1.flv"], ["Video_3_2_0.flv", "Video_3_0_0.flv", "Video_3_2_1.flv", "Video_3_0_altexit.flv", "Video_3_0_1.flv", "Video_playsteam.flv", "Video_fadesteam.flv"

etc etc.

also, as mentioned before, the DVD and TV set are hotspots which should let us click somewhere and watch one of these files.

Can someone find the URL to these files? I'm having trouble getting to them.

Once we have seen all these video files, maybe we will see the video that's supposed to show on the TV set

I've looked into the .flv files and can't seem to find anything relating to the TV.

When you first go to the Hiding Room web site it downloads all the relevant .flv files into your browsers cache. The actual flash file for the hiding room is called HarkerJmain.swf and this is also downloaded to the cache.

I've grabbed this file and dissected it using Flash MX. When I run the flash file the variables list expands to list the hotspots and I can't find anything at all to do with the TV, everything else is listed but this. If the TV was a hotspot then we should be able to click on it or at least the mouse pointer would change to denote something but alas there is nothing.
Not sure who said this but it looks like a dead end.

I've copied the code from the flash file into a text file as well.
If anyone can dissect anything else from this it might be of some help.

The terms and conditions on helpmefindjon.com seem to be missing. I tried to have a look to see if there were any clues there that I'd missed, and I get a 404.

I hope this doesn't mean they're moving the goalposts again.

I guess that it's probably simply because they now have new fuller terms and conditions on the S&S final puzzle.

Maybe you're right. Personally I like to err towards the idea that they're just being sloppy.

The absence of updates on any of the sites makes the timescale of this game seem ridiculous. The Hornchurch Star can't sell many copies if it prints the same news every day for months on end. Surely they would have run a follow-up story about Jon's disappearance now that Brigid has found him?

I have contacted them and offered them a story about the affair.
