I got my second call, and I missed it again. I hate mornings, especially when I have to work them and miss important things

Ouuuch Thats the reason I'm not playing, I work 13 hour days. Only time I get to play is late or when I have a few spare minutes.

I havent gotten my call back yet. Im guessing that they might wrap up the seconday calls soon as they are all largely following the same script now and arent as fresh as they started. I would imagine they would just explain it away as "You were not red flagged hence you didnt really need a phone interview".
**Edit - Ok they just called me I think mainly to prove me wrong in my previous comments!!! I mainly got the same questions as everyone else and I was able to answer all the questions to my knowlege correctly!!
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
He went in to the description of the crouch for me as crouching with your knees at a 120 degree angle and he warned me that most rookies tend to have there elbows pointing outwards at this point which is very bad because you end up looking like a chicken!!
God knows how he kept going after that comment i barely could. I asked about the 217 training and he said this would only be available to sandmen at the SMHQ at a later date. WWOOOOTTT [/spoiler]

I just got my second phone call(I wasn't there for the first). I was one of the Red-Flagged applicants apparently. I said it was because of my contact with Coby3 at the arcade. I got asked some of the regular questions, was asked to perform the Francis-Crouch, and said I'd be contacted again within a week.
One question I didn't know was something along the lines of: How many people do you need for a sweep operation?

I just got my call as well.
Was asked a standard barrage, asked to name the people I had contacted that had resulted in the red flag.
Two fun points: 1:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Charlie: How many team members minimum for an invasion team?
James: No fewer than 1.
Charlie: And do you have any idea why that is the minimum?
James: Because otherwise you wouldnt have much of a team, I would think.
Charlie: Excellent, James.
And, I present, to back up Russels experience:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The Francis Crouch for Dummies
Step 1: Stand with your feet shoulder width apart.
Step 2: Extend your right foot 2 feet in front of your left.
Step 3: Begin to crouch, until the backs of your knees form a 120degree angle. (You may want to get a friends help until this becomes natural)
Step 4: Monitor your posture while aiming at a runner. Keep your elbows tucked into your sides as you track and aim. Many beginners will spread their elbows, causing them to look very "birdlike."
As an aside: the foot placement and angles sound suspiciously similar to standard marching band march steps and "chair" steps. Do we have band geeks behind this game?

I got a third call today. Another Voicemail. They told me to contact SMHQ to let them know when an appropriate time to contact me is, but how does one contact smhq?

Yay, got my phone call today while I was out at the park with my son.
Got all the questions correct. I took a bit to answer some, because I was looking them up on my printout. <grin>
When Charlie3 asked if I had been associated with any Runners, I told him that I had avoided all of that, and had no contact whatsoever with Eileen5, though I knew people who had been.
He then asked me for the names of the citizens that were in contact with her, but I was out at the park, so I didn't have any of them with me.
When he asked if I had any questions, I asked how I would hear about my application status. He told me that I'd receive a communication from SMHQ.
I then asked how long it would be before I heard something, and he said within the week.

In responce to skilletaudio:
Im not a band geek, but I am (all too) familer with the USAF's drill reg's. Yes, that does sound like somthing that I would read in it. I thin one of the PM's had too much time with a drill manual.
Funny storys about drill, but for a diffrent fourm .

Probably extremely similar, collegiate marching band began as military band and drill, and a lot of similarities remain.

Hey guys,
Charlie3 called me today (in the UK) while I was in the pub -- fortunately I had a hard copy of the ROC with me so I think I got most of the questions right. The best part was that he could obviously hear where I was from the background noise... before he started explaining about the red flag stuff he said "it sounds like you're in the arcade?".
And of course I had to demonstrate the Francis crouch in front of everyone...

LMFAO!! He made you actually perform the Francis-crouch? That makes me happy.
Bliss.

I've gotten three calls and missed them all. Ive been away a lot this past week and might be for a few more days. I hope people who haven't been able to take the calls aren't holding up the game for the rest of you. Who knew they'd actually try to call everyone who signed up. That's ambitious. I for one wouldn't be hurt if I never actually talked to Charlie3. I've talked to in game characters before and it's a little nerve wracking for me Probably because one of the calls I recieved was from the psychiatrist in Chasing the Wish, who I had alienated with an angry email and the call lasted 15 or 20 minutes. Yikes!
