Laughing I can't help laughing at this. I think they might have put the file in there as a joke. I mean, a picture of eyes with a file saying "You hacked them!" Even if it does mean something, it's pretty funny

Welcome to the illustrious world of ARGs. There's two reasons for this name in regards to the genre. One would be the obvious Alternate Reality Games acronym. The other, slightly less known, reason behind this name is the sound you make after you've spent 10 hours and 5 bottles of Bawls trying to figure out the latest clue Very Happy

Uh, anyway. So it looks like the timer is going to stop on July 5th, then?

This is a little interesting, I wikied Demosthens, and this is what I got

Quote:

''For the Athenian general during the Peloponnesian War, see Demosthenes (general).''

Demosthenes (384 BC - 322 BC) is generally considered the greatest of the Ancient Greek orators. His writings provide an insight into the life and culture of Athens at this period of time.

Born the son of a wealthy sword-maker, Demosthenes was orphaned at the age of seven. His father left him well-provided-for, but his legal guardians defrauded him and squandered his inheritance, causing him to seek retribution through the courts when he came of age.

As a boy Demosthenes suffered from a speech impediment and he worked at a series of self-designed exercises to overcome it. A common story tells of his talking around mouthfuls of rocks to improve his diction, but it is unknown whether this is fact or merely a legendary example of his perseverance and determination. Either way, Demosthenes became a prominent political orator (speech-maker), making his living through his ability to write and make speeches. He is best-known for his Philippic Orations, urging the populace to rise up and defend their country against Philip II of Macedon, who was steadily gaining power and territory for the Macedonian state.

Demosthenes's speaking style was relatively straightforward and generally without rhetorical flair. It was considered somewhat vulgar by the standards of the day, but was nevertheless very popular. He also made use of his body to accentuate his words, and as a result was able to project his ideas and arguments much more forcefully (later famous orators like Henry Clay would mimic this technique). Although Demosthenes's arguments were the products of careful study and preparation -- he often declined to comment on subjects he had not studied beforehand -- he was famous for his sharp wit, and his name has been used to imply a particularly venomous rejoinder.

In 346 BC Demosthenes was one of many envoys sent to Philip II of Macedon to create a peace treaty. Upon their return, Demosthenes led the potentially fatal prosecution ...

Got this from the Ritualistic forum...
Keyword (entered at http://www.legionpharma.com/about.php?U4forEverybody): doom

Correspondence

I'm not sure if you'll see this message anytime soon, but if you do, please, don't let her know I sent you this. Things have gone totally haywire here recently, with all the crazy buyout rumors, and the stolen files from R&D, hell, most of the people here are still scared about the Allyn team disappearance while working with the external ST group. None of the dammed authorities have ever turned up anything relevant about that event. Whatever, what I'm writing about now is what really puts me on edge. The stuff we have going on in BioCell group right now could seriously change the world, no kidding, no jokes. Like any good breakthrough though, this could be used to better the world, or in the wrong hands, do some SERIOUS damage. As I mentioned in my last correspondence, I'm REALLY considering leaving the company, along with most of the BioCell group, but nobody has actually got up and left yet since the scare. It's like we are living under somebody else's thumb, every time somebody talks about leaving, the higher ups make it "clear" that we shouldn't leave right now, especially if we value anything we've worked for the past 15 years. I've seen the various buyout groups in the offices too, most of the board has tried to keep those meetings behind closed doors, but the facility tours have allowed most of us to get eyes on these people. If any of those crazy bastards end up in charge, I'm not sure what's going to happen, but it won't be good.

Seriously, we had the "cash" group in recently (PLEASE, don't talk about this to anybody, I am one of the few people that got a good look at these people, and management noticed, I could get in serious trouble if this goes anywhere) anyhow, the head of the cash group is this obsessed, wild eyed scientist, I know who he is...hell, you probably know who he is too (hint: he just got back from his multi-year jungle adventure), seriously....damn...I can't talk about this....maybe in our next correspondence I'll tell you more, I'm sorry - I'm just too on edge to really dig into it right now, and if anybody ever found out about these little talks you and I have, I could "disappear" like the Allyn team did. Next time you and I have a sit down, I'll fill you in.

The IaRS experiment we concluded last week was a total disaster, the first un-official human test ended in a destroyed lab, and 40+ falsified injury reports. I think the doctors at Thornhill ER knew that most of the injuries were not sustained by an evacuation gone wrong. If the Thornhill people really knew what caused those injuries, we'd have the feds ripping this place apart in no time. Not to mention the fact that we are actually doing non-sanctioned human tests, but to hell with the all the red tape, people are willing to volunteer, we don't need some organization breathing down our throats halting progression.

I know I sound like a rambling fool recently, but I assure you, if you were still on the inside like the rest of us and could see how things have changed, I'm sure you'd be just as worried as I am. I'd better keep my mouth shut though, you know, work is happiness, happiness is sacrifice, sacrifice is expected, etc...etc...

Ok - I'd better get going, if you get this, send me a text message.

G.

Interesting.

So, the keys we have for http://www.legionpharma.com/about.php?U4forEverybody so far:
Genome - Takes you to an MP3.
Demosthenes - Takes you to a page with an image and some text that says "Objects in browser are bigger than they appear." Along with the text above it saying "Key to the City"... Hmmm..
Doom - Takes you to a long story type thing that we have yet to investigate.
