Continuing the spoiler for puzzle 3:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Well...what does it look like? Squares of course
Hint for level 4:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The size of the boxes are indicative of letters of the alphabet
Answer for level 4:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Because the 2nd square is 12 pixels long and the first is 1 pixel long, they should be different by 11 letters. The third character should be the same as the 2nd and the last should be 2 characters shorter than the previous two. If you run through the possibilities, the word has to be doom.
Hint for level 5:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The image is 26 pixels high
Answer for level 5:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you count the pixels each red portion extends down, this length represents a letter of the alphabet like level 4. the answer becomes meatloaf.

What you see is what you get. But you're seeing it over and over and over...
Answer for #6:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The image is only 4 lines high, and the word TRIP is spelled out with 24's in among the 42's.
Observations on #7:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The image is 5 bands, all 30px across. Their hex color values are ff0000 ff9900 990099 000000 ff0000.

ok, so here's where totally forgetting my math in first yr university really screws me over. what's the equation for a circle about the origin? (passing through (9,0) (0,9) (-9,0) and (0,-9), obviously)
unless I'm totally missing the point and it's really just a target

The equation of a circle is:
x^2 + y^2 = r^2
where r is the radius
so in this case it would be:
x^2 + y^2 = 81
