cos they're useless in this regard. I wrote a lengthy dissertation on calendar systems, explaining the signifigance of the birth of christ, and juxtaposing that on the motions of the sun, moon, and stars ... really giving a nice concept of what it was i was asking, and hoping to get any sense of reply which approaches the topic at hand.

bah. they're holding back so much.

I trust the Kiteway fFamily. some don't but I do. I think they are what they say they are. But it really irritates me no end to be told so little about the important things, and yet so much about unimportant bunk.

Convergence could be yet to come: there's a possibility that Perplex City is a bit like the Planet of the Apes (ie it's earth many years in the future).

Wouldn't they then know where the Cube was?
Or if not certainly they would know who had found it, and try and contact that person/people rather than the whole swarming ignorant puddle of us earthlings?

I guess that depends on how much of their history has been "lost." If their history doesn't go back far enough to cover "the point in time when people from the future contacted them to find a cube and they found it at location xyz or did not find it at all," then there is effectively a singularity somewhere along the timeline. In that case, they could be our future, we could be their future, or we could be disparate timelines/universes/dimension and it wouldn't matter because you would not be able to see back far enough to know.

In Planet of the Apes (as far as I can remember), the apes did not know that in their past, Man ruled the world. Their history did not go back far enough, so they were not privy to any of that past learning. The only connection between the two timelines was when Mr. Astronaut Guy saw the statue at the end of the film.

Everyone has brought up incrediably valid points. There just isn't enough information to really form a solid theory about the worlds, and how simlair/dissimlair they are. I wanted to thank you all, though, for being so kind. On other boards I would have been flamed to high heaven for posting something like this. Heh. Thanks for actually thinking about it and such. *kinda loves this board*

The Cube

I found this site by following a link from a Welsh web Design company, who have designed a site for the cube that isn't[/b] perplexcity.com, it is http://www.vibration13.com/thecube/
there is a cube in the centre of the screen that you can click and drag to explore, there is also a word in the top right of the screen that changes when you roll the mouse over it. Each word is an anagram using the same letters - MEGATON, MAGNETO, NAME GOT, GANOTME, TANGO ME, and GOATMEN. The bloke who is looking for the cube is called -Sente.
Maybe the welsh blokes who designed this site know more than most about this, here is their site if someone wants to contact them, http://www.gravity-design.co.uk/
I would contact them myself, but Im too scared, mu....mu.....mummy!

A million people have clicked their fingers by the time you finish reading this post.

Hiya Hairy_Brain,

Welcome aboard, that site was found a little while back and is in fact a homage created by vibration13 here. This thread is an excellent starting point for getting up to speed on what we've done and not done.

Cards along soon so plenty of new stuff to get your teeth into!
