 		Just wondering who all is going to join us for all the new maps and stuff on Tuesday or Wends.?

What type of actual game should we play first? I'm for a DRT match on Terminal...lots of fun...and I am in anticipation of hearing the laughter and screams cut short when the "Gaurdian Express" comes through the hill...

I know that we will probably get together and roam around ALL the maps first and then someone (tries to look innocent) will kill Dante and then an impromptu slayer match will break out...

I can't help it...he is so...what's the word...killable. Yeah, that's it. Razz

 		I'll be grabbing the maps on Tuesday, but may or may not be around - a friend of mine has his days off on Tuesday and Wednesday and chances are good we'll be meeting up to work on some shared projects. I'll drop an invite if I'm around.

Anyway, the Weekly What's Update is out, and guess what the subject is?

Yes, unfortunately this seems to be the case. We are doing our best to keep up but we agree it's not quite enough. This is why we have been spending development time on a new auto update for Halo 2 that will employ additional anti-cheating mechanisms to purge these evildoers from our community. We are very optimistic that the auto update will greatly reduce the instances of hacked and modified content on Xbox Live.

When will this new auto update be available? Will there be any noticeable changes to the game?
The auto update is currently undergoing a test pass and if all goes well, we anticipate it will be released on Xbox Live around the second week of July. This does mean that the new maps will be released beforehand, potentially resulting in a small spike in hacker encounters, but it will quickly level out when the update is implemented.
The AU is a "behind-the-scenes" change only and will not impact the actual gameplay or experience itself. Once it is released, players will be forced to download it in order to play any game of Halo 2 on Xbox Live.

 		I'll get the new maps Tuesday if one of the following is true:

I have enough on my debit card to spare for the map pack
I can pay in cash, partly
someone else gets it and lets me mooch

Otherwise, I'll have to wait til Thursday, which I'd really rather not do.
