Heh. Darn, normally I'd be all over this (a good Whedonverse ARG would make my year, if not my several-years...there's certainly enough fanfic, why not some fanARG? I mean, this isn't exactly a Whedonverse ARG, I'm just saying. Mr. Green), but the grammar and spelling issues are keeping me from taking it seriously. I'm afraid I get rather hung up on that sort of thing, especially when it doesn't make sense in context.

In any case, I think I'll follow along for now and hope it improves, just because a good vampire ARG would be so nifty. So...I'm trying to get this plotline straight. Stealth group goes missing in Carter Caves. This Mr. Mays guy (who I suppose is the guy who was updating the website) goes there and is captured by Dracula, who apparently discovers the guy's freewebs and yahoo passwords and hijacks the accounts. The internet-savvy Dracula then uses them to communicate with potential vampire hunters and give them clues about the whereabouts of his hostage...who is being kept alive because of a prophecy. Do I have all that right? Oh, and Mays' wife and son were hunting Dracula in the caves, and were caught and killed. Were they with the Stealth group?

The counter isn't countering because the webmaster inserted an "increment=0" into its code. Freewebs doesn't insert that automatically, or really at all, as far as I can see (I just went and created one, and then added the "increment=0" bit, which did indeed stop it from incrementing), so I'm not sure what the deal is. It seems like it was done on purpose (???).

[edit]never mind about the "generationz" bit...the images are hosted on the freewebs server under "Generationz," but that's just where that template is stored. It's not important, except for the fact that the site uses a standard freewebs template. Also, webmaster dude seems to be using the option where you use freewebs' site builder and don't have to deal with any html. That's the option that lets you access the templates.

Hmm. Short and not that sweet. Nevertheless:

Code:
lewis_the_second: Evening

lewis_the_second: Hello?

salomslot : Hell, Mr. Denby

lewis_the_second: Hello.  Thank you for finding the time to come online tonight

lewis_the_second: And please, call me Lewis

salomslot : Lewis, I am sure you are aware about the website. Am I right?

lewis_the_second: The freewebs one?

salomslot : Yes.

lewis_the_second: Why have you taken Mr. Mays?

salomslot : The prophecy of course.

salomslot : Blood is what makes life.

lewis_the_second: So you've taken him solely for his blood?

lewis_the_second: Why Mr. Mays?

lewis_the_second: Why not anybody else?

salomslot : The prophecy clearly states that we have to use the blood of a chosen one

salomslot : The chosen are several people, we took Mr. May becasue we knew he was the only one who could stop the ritual

lewis_the_second: The ritual?

salomslot : Yes, you all will be learning about it quite soon.

lewis_the_second: Why not now?

lewis_the_second: I could help, maybe?

lewis_the_second: in some way

salomslot : you can not help, but you can watch for the next victim

lewis_the_second: And who will that be?

salomslot : Why, another chosen, we misread the prophecy. Tricky things prophecys, they can be mistranslated

lewis_the_second: Is Mr Mays alive?

salomslot : At the moment.

lewis_the_second: How can I keep him alive?

salomslot : You can't

salomslot : I am sorry our time is up

By the way, I never really found a good link between the two urban legends apart from the fact they they both usually involve an escaped psychopath from a nearby hospital.

Also, both stories are thought to be derived a series of 'Lovers Lane' murders that happened in Texarkana in 1946, the murders were carried out by a psycho known as the "Phantom" who was never caught.

Here's a write-up:

Agreed, it doesn't take much to run a spell check. Oh well, perhaps the PM will heed these rants. I just love vampires so much and I am enjoying this game. But dammit if it all falls through, i'm starting my own low-budget Vampire ARG. Rolling Eyes

...I don't understand.

Anyway, nevermind. Who's going to be on Yahoo tonight at um... Midnight GMT? Shocked

That's right isn't it? 7pm Eastern is 12midnight GMT? Something like that.

Edit: Oh I get it!! To be fair, that wasn't a spelling mistake... I just used the wrong word. Razz

Edit 2: Aw and now people are quoting my mistake... I better change it.
