Now that we understand each other, I think we can have a wonderful time at the park. I should have known that I could trust a good friend of Arvin's.

Just in case you've forgotten, I'll be at Willowbrook Park in Villa Park at 4pm on Saturday, July 9th. I'll be reading the newspaper on a park bench not too far from the entrance of the park. I'll be wearing a blue plaid shirt.

We'll identify each other by saying:

"Have you ever seen a winter with this much snow?"

"Not since I lived in Alaska."

Once identity is verified, we will proceed as planned.

If you plan to send an associate to meet with me, please pass this information along. I'll be leaving early Saturday morning for Chicago and most likely won't have access to my email until Saturday night. Please send me your (or your associate's) cell phone number ASAP in case I need to contact you before then.

H.

Beat me to it, johnahue42! So, krystyn, are you comfortable e-mailing him your cell phone number? I can send mine, but that won't do him much good if you're going to be meeting him.

Also, Charlene, which one are you on the list? I wonder who the third person is...

I'm Silver Eagle. I think Phoenix is a girl on the sd1 forums, but am not sure yet.

OK, so I picked up a cheap 8-in-1 media card reader, and opened up the smartmedia card I received from Ursos. There is only one file on the data card, and it is called formula.gpg.

It's 2,510 kb, and was created on November 3, 2004 @ 8:25 AM.

ETA:

Additionally, we seem to be assuming h. is male. I am scanning this thread again, and I see no pronouns. I may be meeting a female. (edited again to add that johnahue found the pronoun him, so I guess it'll be a dude!)

Should I post the formula.gpg here, or is that not useful? I am also going to send an e-mail to h., introducing myself.

Embarassed Arg! I'm sorry you went to all that trouble to only find the formula.gpg... Sad Could you post it here or e-mail it to me or something? I'm sure it's the same as the one that someone else e-mailed me, but just to be sure...

Are you going to e-mail h.meier your cell number, too? I'll send mine too, just in case...

The File is titled "Reported" in Dutch.
To save you the trouble of translating it:

It says
"Bakker - Assasinated!
VOS - Assasinated!
Cinderella - on the flight" - I think it kinda means on the run

Then
"Silver Eagle
Ursos
The Phoenix
- unknown
Stop Communication"

Then again maybe Ursos is a double agent! Surprised

OMG...The Phoenix is me!!! Sweeet. I'm so behind on all this as I haven't been getting any emails. What does it mean?

I have emailed him back, saying that an acquaintence of mine (Ursos, i hope you don't mind) will be contacting him with the details of the meet, of contacting the associate conducting the meet. I've also given him my telephone number (it's my spare emergancy phone Smile ) in case they do the whole 'meet has been compromised' thing, or if our guy gets 'eliminated' on his way to us.

Has anyone tried to contact Omnifam about the contents of the datafile?

Soph - I e-mailed Omnifam when I was sending the GPG file from my datacard to other players, telling them if they wanted me to stop, I would.

They never replied, and have never e-mailed me since, even for missions. It's all very suspicious.

Yeah, I'm not really sure if we're supposed to have looked at what's on the datacards or not... Maybe I should e-mail about that notebook image...

And no, Soph, I don't mind that you referred to me. Razz It is an interesting group of people they chose for that list, though. You'd think that maybe they would choose active members from different communities instead of all from the one. I'm still VERY curious as to what it all means... That's it, I'm e-mailing the Operator!

I emailed operator about the datacard, saying that i was informed about a document on it, possibly suggesting a threat to three fellow operatives, and then asking whether i should follow up the information Very Happy

I wrote to h.meier yesterday evening, to establish contact and make an introduction as the person who will be meeting him at the park. I got a reply, which was essentially the information posted above, along with this introductory paragraph:

H. wrote:
Ah, it's good to finally hear from you. To be quite honest, I was
beginning to get a little nervous with so many people sending unknown
associates to meet with me. I want this to go as smoothly as possible,
so clearing up some of the unknowns is a relief.

So, we're on for tomorrow!

Pictures of Willowbrook Park

Krystyn - I posted some pics at sd-1 of the park that I took last week. Not sure if it helps if you aren't familiar with the park, but thought I'd pass them along anyways.

Thank you so much! I was going to check out the boards today, so this saves me a step. Yes, this is helpful. Smile

Good luck tomorrow!

BTW - I work in Downers Grove, not too far from Villa Park.
