And for completeness, per several websites, the Navy is behind this, and there were postcards sent during E3.

Apparently this is the Navy's answer to America's Army

I should hope this starts getting better, if the entire game is run the same way i.e. decrypting the code found in the source to get a new key every day it would stop feeling like an ARG and start feeling like a really tedious book. Whoever is controlling this, navy or otherwise, they need to STOP SUCKING.

Why shout for decent puzzles? We need puzzles period. The way I see it using the same system for finding the next clue every day is not a puzzle. It ceased being a puzzle on the second or third time.

Skipping ahead to the 13th

LAUNCH NMECH RECOVERY IMMEDIATELY
http://www.gorgonbox.com/30asdfh/0613.htm

Is that the end of the trail? I don't see a hidden code.

Some select few were getting IMs from people that say they work for gorgon box. What these people said is that nintendo is all behind this.

All the pictures are really cool looking, but that's about it. Is there any real point to this other then unvieling a bunch of concept art lookin things?

Ok, since I'd rather be vague then wrong, here is what I can say.

Gorgon Box, a.k.a. Navy Training Exercise (NTE) Strike & Retrieve , is sponsored exclusively by the United States Navy.

I'm not in the position to give screenshots or anything, so I'll point you elsewhere.

It has been created, at least in large part, by Whatif Productions LLC. Campbell Ewald, which maintains the Navy's website, also seems to have some part in the development.

nte.navy.com will be publically available in the next few days. Supposedly tomorrow.

There is currently no set release date for NTE.

From a recent script:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Game Dialogue Script
Mission Overview:
Ahh, glad to see you made it; they told me when you logged on. Hats off to the folks in Communications...this setup works great.
Look, before we get started let's get something out in the open...this is not just a game; the Navy is looking for the best and the brightest. Hmmm, from what The File tells us, you may be the Recruit we're looking for. Let's see how good you really are.
We don't have time for milk and cookies so let me get right to your mission...
An allied unmanned spy-plane went down in the Pacific Ocean several hours ago. That vehicle is carrying a highly classified cargo codenamed "Gorgon" which must be recovered. We lost digital communication with the plane's primary computer system when the plane's fuselage blew out during its deep water descent. We know the Gorgon is intact. We have a sonar lock on its position but pressure estimates and seismic obstacles would create a deadly environment for a traditional submersible. The only vehicle built to withstand the depth and combat requirements of this mission is a deep water unmanned prototype we call the Nmech...and that's where you come in.

Ah ok, I figured it was something like that. I guess it might end up fun, who knows.
