 [META] Colors, suits, & sides

This is not about a specific card, but the cards in general--and specifically their numbering, suits, etc. I hope to fill in the unknowns soon.

It looks like there are 256 cards, broken into 8 colors. Those colors are:
001-032 = red
033-064 = orange
065-096 = yellow
097-128 = green
129-160 = blue
161-192 = violet
193-224 = black
225-256 = silver

It looks like within each color, there are 8 "suits" (in order):
1-4 [unknown]
5-8 [unknown]
9-12 hex
13-16 circle
17-20 star[?]
21-24 maze
25-28 pixel
29-32 [unknown]

Within each color, there are 4 "corners" (in order):
1 top-left
2 top-right
3 bottom-left
4 bottom-right

For those good at math, these formulas will give you the (zero-based) index of the color, suit, and corner (where "N" is the one-based card number):
color = (N - 1) / 32
suit = (N - 1) % 32 / 4
corner = (N - 1) % 32 % 4

Please respond with anything you have to help refine this set of rules and I'll edit this top post accordingly.

Should we post the suit on the header of the puzzles thread? If this helps i'll alter them....

There's only 32 cards per colour, so in the interests of keeping the topics short, let's stick with the current naming system.

It might help if posts of new cards also mention the suit / corner (I don't quite understand the 'corner'?) along with the colour, author, and so on.

Lots to be getting on with! Woohoo!

GuyP, Corner refers to the corner where the border is visible. Each set of four has a border in each of the four corners, so they can be put together. so one has it on the left and bottom side, so its corner is bottom left.

On the 'solve' part of the Perplexcity site, the big card edge is a new type - perhaps 'flame' or 'fire'?

Now that the profile page on Perplexcity has all the possible suits, we know that the three missing ones are

ivy, flames and water

Interestingly, Wave 2 seems to be filling in the gaps in the suits available during Wave 1, rather than being a random selection from the cards left.

This means that we still don't have any Ivy, Flames or Water suited cards - which correspondingly means that we can't see what's at the far north and south of the city when turning the cards over to make the map.

Is there something sinister hiding in the far north of the city?

So has anyone managed to piece together more of the message from the letters on the cards, maybe langley moor, oliverkeers or solitair as they seem to already have most of the wave 2 cards?

no da
