You would appear, from my limited knowledge, to be a friendly people, and it is in the spirit of friendship that I wish to give you a warning. On Earth we have many military organisations of all shades of political allegiance, both official and unofficial. I am shocked and appalled that the Sentinel summarily fired its advertising director for no reason beyond his religious views. Even the barely-civilised citizens of Earth have all manner of legal protections for persons of varying faiths! You should truly be ashamed of yourselves.

Now the KT of Roll for Damage has announced he is a Recon, I find myself looking at our civic institutions with more and more fear, wondering if there is some secret fanatical agenda in even seemingly innocent actions of our leaders. We should rise up as a city and root out the influence of all who would subvert our democratic processes for the sake of some archaic mystic ideal.

I never thought I would see the day when even the Sentinel would let me down as a beacon of tolerance and logic in our beautiful city. I demand that Ryan Klein be reinstated to his position on the staff of the Sentinel at once, or I shall surely be canceling my own subscription, and encouraging everyone I know to do likewise.

GOOD SPORTSMANSHIP

I am appalled that anyone would have the nerve to be so disruptive during a match of the Perplex City Academy Games - especially a match such as Myra Champaign's.

Here we have a young lady, falsely accused of using cognitive enhancers when it is a matter of public record that she has not used anything save that which was prescribed by her doctors - and has ceased to require them well before the start of this year's Games - attempting to prove that she can perform just as well as any PCAG athlete without resorting to performance-enhancing drugs, and what happens?

Instead of being cheered on and encouraged, this prodigy receives not praise for her excellent performance, but condemnation! Condemnation which, I might add, seriously impaired her ability to function, and almost caused her to lose the match!

Where does the self-appointed PCAG Gestapo - oh, excuse me, the Alliance for Clean Players - get the sheer, unadulterated NERVE to do such a thing? Freedom of speech is all very well, but that same freedom of speech carries the requirement that one exercise that right responsibly - and using that freedom of speech to distract an athlete is irresponsible in the extreme. I might even go so far as to call it CRIMINALLY irresponsible!

I recommend that Myra Champaign be allowed a rematch, and that those members of the Alliance for Clean Players who so disrupted Ms Champaign's first match as to cause her both mental and emotional distress (and almost cause her to lose the match) be barred from attending the rematch - and indeed any further matches in which Ms Champaign may compete, until such time as they can utilize their right to free speech responsibly - and should they utilize it irresponsibly again, they should be charged with premeditated disturbance of the peace and criminal irresponsibility.
