I was thinking to myself, you know, it just wasn't enough for me to ride on a boat with a crazy diseased German and a zombie mime in the middle of the night on the Chicago River, I now have clowns in suburban parks trying to befriend me with their wacky wig antics ...

What's this about the German and the zombie mine?!? Shocked

Oh, another question. Do you think he was stalling for time? The impression I got was that he might have been moving you around to have someone take a picture of you... It made me think of the picture of Bakker from Cindy's files... I bet your picture will come up later!

That's so cool. I wonder if/how the purple van will come into play later in the game.

Oh, faaabulous. Because I looked like crap-o today, too. It was so hot in the car, and the traffic was terrible on the Eisenhower.

I participated in Art of the H3ist, the Audi-sponsored ARG that just ended. There was a Chicago event where I was one of the Retrievers who went with Nisha of Last Resort Retrieval to the South Branch Marina to meet with Gunter, a shady character in the game universe. We all ended up taking a short cruise on a boat with him, and he had a helper with him in skull/death/mime makeup, so I jokingly called him a zombie mime. Gunter also had some disturbingly gross lung disease, and so kept quaffing huge amounts of cough syrup the whole ride, and hacking up nasty loogies and stuff. For all of his good looks, his charm was a bit tarnished in this regard. Wink

I honestly got the impression that it was a reference to who he was looking out for, for this mysterious birthday party that never materialized. I would be really, really surprised if this was a detail that would come into play later.

Sorry to keep posting so much, but I posted my photos from today's adventure at:

http://flickr.com/photos/krystyn/tags/omnifam/

There are some descriptions for the individual pictures, so you can click on them to get more information/elucidation. Enjoy!

ETA: the photo I sent to methusalabs with the closeup I took of the "For Hylie" ribbons is now in the gallery at forhylie.org!

Rock on!

Holy crap, it is. Y'know, I was wondering about that.

I am thinking of another detail here - when he was trying to make me the duck, water fowl, swan, he pulled out white balloons, and they all popped. And then he pulled out that purple one for the handy dandy newspaper holder. I have no idea if he simply ran out of white ones, or what, but I thought I'd mention it.

Yeah, he must've been popping those other ones on purpose, heh. Cos even though the first attempt at this one popped, he still got it to work much better than the Bird Balloon That Would Never Be (which is so the name of my next band).

There are a lot of pictures with stegged data in them for which we're needing passcodes.

This is complete and total speculation, but...

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
what are the odds that the passcode will be discovered by decyphering the Rambaldi manuscript being auctioned off on eBay?
