idea: Ever thought of using the intranet numbers as letters on the phone pad?
16:61 sounds like a lead to palindromes, or mirrors or something
Edit: don't worry about the 16:61 bit - it's already found

So, any chance we can see a reason why thebalance's message board page is called a rather unusual:

0594600095htg99752 - why?

new posting which ties in with the latest links on thebalance site:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As I said, I've uploaded a transcript of the meeting between myself, #1 and #2. However, due to the nature of the conversation, I have had to hide it on the server. I have given the URL the people who I think are in a position to read. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Another tip-off from the Unidentified:
Quote:
Something bad seems to be going down over at The Balance's intranet...
So head over to the intranet, log in and you're taken to a new page:
So it's Amanda's head on the block, or the other five's. And we have 48 hours to decide.

Holy s**tbunny casserole...
This just got serious.
So either the game is finishing up in 48 hours, or they'll actually kill a maincharacter off and move on to another stage. Maybe it's finishin off at ARGfest?
I suppose the Unidentified is the only one who can help at this point...
Someone get in contact, we have to find the Balance HQ, or find some reason for Gareth to keep them all alive.

A bit of a moral dilemna then
The needs of the many out way the needs of the few ... or the one!
So what do we do? - own choice, poll, consensus. panic?

Consensus seems a good idea....to add to this, I contacted Helen Alderman asking where/when she last saw her daughter and got the response, "She's gone again. You've got to help me. I'm really scared this time. I don't know what to do." I feel we'd be leting her down pretty badly if we sacrificed her daughter....on the other hand letting five people die is hardly an improvement. Also we don't know if he'll stop with Amanda. Derby says they need a body count; surely six dead bodies cause more publicity than one?
I think we need to thwart their dastardly plans instead, not quite sure how though...

oh the good ol Utalitarianism dilema....I for one vote for the intrinsic value of saving the other 5 over Amanda

Before we sacrifice any lives, I feel we should be sure that there aren't better options.

Ok solid voting time... in the absence of any last minute help from the carer or the unidentified (please please please!) I vote that Amanda dies .
It's the only option really, lose one to save 5...
However, we need to start begging the unidentified for intervention, and we need to get in contact with Graeme and make sure he knows nothing more of use. Who has their Addys?
PS: Phaedra , I'd say you should take responsibility for counting votes and sending the e-mail, if it comes to it, O Wise Moderator

loose one or loose 5? maybe I missed something, but, I thought there were 7... not 6... (although I've mostly been a lurker for this one... Our colony left a bad taste in my mouth... It's very likely I missed something...) Also, I vote we get in touch with The Carer or the Unidentified before we start a poll as to who should die... They gave us 2 days for a reason... They could have easily made it 6 hours if they wanted us to put it to a vote.... If we do have to vote to kill someone, we should also think about rammifications it might have on the future of the game. The Ballance wants a body count... which means they are counting on us to kill Amanda to deny them what they want. But I'm getting ahead of myself... I vote we wait for something to happen... 48 hours is a lot of time to think.
