Take the card to Tesco and use their customer scanner to see if any products come up.

Well,

I've dowloaded barcode descriptor from here (trial version).

The first (in order as Reason's post above) seems not to be recognised (still fiddling)

The second comes up with:

Type: EAN-13
BarCode 8888003215407 is found
Country: Singapore
Organization: SANC

but doesn' work when you try and get more info out of it (the program is linked to an internet database)

The third gives:

Type: EAN-8
BarCode 22008886 is found
Country: -
Organization: In-store numbers

And the more info gives
Quote:
The EAN prefix does not belong to one of the interconnected database!!!

The fourth gives:

Type: EAN-13
BarCode 5034739501922 is found
Country: UK
Organization: E Centre UK

and finally does work...giving the company Hoo Hing Ltd, Romford and contact number for the individual who registered it.

Just rang hoo hing...they don't have it on their system...hmmm. suspect someone's going to have to go to tesco. But put the above together with one of the other being singaporean in registration, is it too much of a leap to suggest some sort of asian delicacy. My money's on duck in plum sauce with noodles.

MMMmmmm.

No joy
Instore scanner didn't recognise the code
Could be down to the quality of my scan or the background messing the scanner up
Probably have more luck with the actual card (which unfortunately I don't have)

Well there is a possibility that I may be down Tesco later, if I am I'll whip out the card when going through the checkout;

"Excuse me, can you scan this as well please..." Shocked
