Chat with caretaker! (hopefully soon tonight) Hey folks...
Based on the last email, we've set up a chat session with caretaker. Sorry for the late notice, but we think he should be joining the chatroom shortly! Come join us. LazarusLong and katya are the designated speakers.... you can privately message questions to them, and they'll be moderated.
Server: irc.chat-solutions.org
Room: #caretaker
Come and join us!!!

Re: ummmmmmmm OK, so there was a breakdown in communication... somewhere. Someone led the room to believe that caretaker was on his way, and either that was not true, or caretaker pulled the old disappearing trick on us. Anyway, he hasn't showed up, which doesn't necessarily mean he won't, so if you think he might, by all means check it out. But looks like we might have to regroup and set another time, which is being discussed right now in #caretaker...

I sent caretaker an email telling him about the room and channel and asking him what day and time would be good for him. I will post his response if I get one.

If I can state a preference?
Several ppl have problems with the Java running on their computers, Getting an IM room together may allow more ppl to attend.
If it can be set up for tonight (Friday) ater 6 pm Eastern I can attend, and would very much like to.

If people are having problems with the Java running, I highly suggest downloading mIRC http://www.mirc.com/ and using that. In all honesty... I'd suggest switching to it anyway
As for a meeting, I'm down with something around 8pm EST myself.

I agree, I like mIRC. I prefer it over the java anyday. 8pm EST works for me.

And for those of you fortunate enough to be running Mac OS X, I'd recommend X-Chat Aqua, an excellent port of the Unix X-Chat client. Best of all, it's freeware (GNU Public License).
