Unfortunately, the system we have where people are awarded ranks only promotes post-whoring. It is a shame as the only way to stop it is to destroy the system, which is a great system. It tells you who to trust and how you should treat people. My $0.02

Not locking as the original post is quite worth the read and deserving of the occasional bump.

That said, don't trample all over the post and please drop the post-whorin' discussion (or tone it down or move it to meta... Wink)

I don't know about that. There are some people still labeled as 'Boot' that I trust infinitely more than those who are listed 'Unfettered'. Granted, a brand-spanking new poster might not understand the difference, but anyone who has hung around here for any length of time and who posesses half a brain understands the difference of quality vs quantity.

Obviously you've been having a bad day/week/month/year and need a cookie since you should know that this type of post doesn't really get you anywhere on the boards.

Unfortunately, there isn't a cookie icon on here, so how about a Pony?!

Aaaand...colin joins Ehsan on the list.

Geez, were all your early posts so lacking in both proper punctuation and good manners?

maybe the post-whoring portion should be split from the topic and moved?

*Ahem* sometimes you can have both. And if Colin doesn't want the Pony can I have it?

OK... Time to redirect back on Topic....

Saevitia I did not send you props earlier because it was only a mear echo of what others have already said.

Actually I found UF through Yahoo groups when I went web surfing through their groups and came across "Chasing the Wish." It was one of the few times I wasn't actually looking for something specific. I was just putting in random search terms (can't remember if it was Dreams or Wishes that brought the group up) and through it I found UF and Collective Detective, and the glory that was....
