Omnifam bombing and evidence Well in case you guys haven't noticed, the Omnifam headquarters was bombed. Story here: http://www.omnifam.org/press20050722.php .
Today, I got a package in the mail. Pictures attached. The return address was Omnifam, and the label noted "Alert: Evidence Enclosed ". Inside was a letter about the recent bombing, a copy of the summary from Interpol, and two small clear plastic envelopes of evidence. The letters are getting scanned in by tulipgirl on the SD-1.net site. Here, though, are the pictures of what I got in my package, aside from those letters (some kind of coin/token, feels like it's made out of clay, perhaps, and has the <0> on one side and some other symbol on the back; a scrap of paper that looks like it says "r American methlab and just" or something pretty close to that):
EDIT: The token/coin thingy is the shrapnel from the bomb. Some of the pieces made it intact. I was rushed when I read the letter(s)/article the first time and missed that connection.

The coin looks identical to the ones left at ARGfest!
Also the curved scrap looks like it came from a spiral.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I'll scan mine tomorrow, and post it. There looks to be a puzzle in it.

Just to let you guys know, I got a coin with a 'P' on it, and a message which i think says 'Keep one to pay G haro...but it could be "Saro" if you are looking at it like a spiral.

Hope you don't mind, but I thought I'd add the scan of yours, Charlene. If you ask me, I think it might read, ". Keep one to pay Charo..." Not sure, though.

It's actually "keep one to pay Charon," which I remember clearly from the spiral I got, because it's from Greek mythology:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charon_ (mythology)
wikipedia wrote:
In Greek mythology, Charon (fierce brightness) was the ferryman of Hades. (Etruscan equivalent: Charun) He took the newly dead from one side of the river Acheron to the other if they had an obolus (coin) to pay for the ride. Corpses in ancient Greece were always buried with a coin underneath their tongue to pay Charon. Those who could not pay had to wander the banks of the Acheron for one hundred years.
So, that's what the coin is for, when you cross over.

So it was a warning for Sloane -- that he should keep one of those coins around for when they come for real so he can pay Charon...

So are they saying that one of us is going to come in contact with the "bomber"? Or is it just a warning? Scary....

Hey guys,
I got a package mailed to me in the UK too - a coin like everyone else and a scrap of paper, that has different writing on. I don't have a scanner but I'll take digital photos of everything in a couple of hours when I get home and post them here, but for now, my paper says 'for the kindess you showed ' (and there is an unclear letter from another word before this, which you'll see when I take a photo of it). My coin also has a 'P' on the back of it.
Exciting!

My coin has an "A" in a little house-type outline.
So the letters we have so far are:
QBKooky: A
Ursos: P
Tulipgirl: H
Charlene: P
Flicks: P
Jonnahue: P
cnote: H
Crypto: A
And the spiral scraps we have are:
QBKooky: "Omnifam Ikus-pa! W "
Ursos: "r American methlab and just "
Tuplipgirl: "dumb, needs his mini[ons] "
Charlene: "keep one to pay Charon "
Flicks: "for the kindess you showed "
Jonnahue: "[a]s to see for hi[mself] "
cnote: "paying you ba[ck] "
Crypto: "[yo]ur little superpow[er] "
