Seems good, but make the decision clearer. i.e. state "We have decided that you should choose" explicitly

Right, I'll stick in a 'may god have mercy on your soul' for guiltmongering's sake, and send. Here goes.

Sent.
Final draft:
Quote:
We will not be forced into making a choice between one life and five. You seem to think that killing the six will bring you publicity and show the world your power – without considering the option that it will expose your group as a bunch of violent thugs. I repeat, we will not give into blackmail. As your own rules dictate, it is not up to us to play God, to decide the fate of others. By taking the lives of these people you will achieve nothing other than proving you are no true member of the Balance.
The choice is yours. You are the killers, you must take responsibility for your actions. Any blood split will be on your hands. And then you will be at your God's mercy, as the six are now at yours.
A bit cheesy, not very polished but we gave them an answer.
My bet: they're all gonna die.

Has an ARG ever ended with a sad ending?
There'll be tears all round after this one.
Either that, or the reason for the additional time given is there has been an intervention by another balance leader, cos the PMs realised we're never gonna solve whatever puzzle it was that would save them all...

No, we don't know who #3 was. But I agree that they're likely to have been the key to it.. However, I'm damned if I can see how.. Sure, we've no idea what's hidden on denby's site, we've no clue what's hidden on the balance's site (other than the hidden.htm conversation I guess, but that doesn't lead us to #3), we've no clue what abhu or wilson's tie in is... In short, we've no clue and building.jpg is STILL annoying me.

The next poll....
Building.jpg: The most irritating ARG puzzle ever?
Seems almost like the PMs forgot to finish it off
I never got on Denby's site, cos of all the half-finished posts lacking essential information. People desperate to be first to post.
NEW RULE: Include all info, solves, pws etc in posts if ya solve something!!

oooo....
I think you misunderstood...
we defiantly did not want to say "the decision is yours"
We simply wanted to make it clear that we would not decide. and that the decision is not justly there's to make.
To save them all, we certainly didn't want to tell them "you deicide who to kill", we wanted to make take a step back and think, by telling them in an assertive voice that we will not be made to make this choice, as it is not our right.
They are but men aswell, they are as unqualified to choose to end the life of another as we.

I don't think it would have made much difference, sadly

no, none at all. We know now what would have, and we weren't very close.
I'm surprised noone with that phone no never called it though, seemed like the thing to do. Had i known we had it (didn't update myself properly after absence ) thats what i'd have done, even without the building.jpg nudge.
As i say far too often, hindsight is 20/20.

I guess we figured that the number had been used for an earlier puzzle so they were done with it...bah, so many 'should haves!'
