JestinTymme found it and posted it over at CD, he googled a phrase from Reggie's 411 call, I believe. I emailed David Waite to see if he is in-game. He is, mostly. I think Mr. Waite might actually bea real person -- he has an address and phone number in Mesa and is mentioned in a dojo newsletter. However, I think he may have also taken on a persona playing himself in the game.

 		Great work Dawn!

I notice that the AutoResponder Messages say that all "outside" e-mail has been disabled. So if we had access to an nru E-mail address we should be able to e-mail the nru people. So far we don't have one, however there is one NRU e-mail address that dosen't give us the bouce...

Reggie (minesweeperSPLATnru.us) I just e-mailed him to see if he could forward a message Dr. Z for me or had an other ideas on how to get in touch with him. I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Sounds fitting considering a lot of the googling of David has lead me to a lot of Physics Research regarding 'Warp Drive'

 		Can someone confirm for me the reason this person is being considered in-game? Is it because Reggie mentioned some physics quotes that were found on his page...or is there more?

I, personally, don't believe he's in-game (at least I haven't seen anything that convinces me yet). There are a lot of people into Physics and Relativity. And as for his email comments, he could have as easily read what he knew (which wasn't much) here.

Depending on how much of the General Relativity Physics we come in contact with we may need someone to interpret the info for us, and someone to bounce speculations off of. Think of him not so much an In game character, more like a special guest detective Wink

I can't give you more than you already know. I consider David Waite in-game because:

1. His material turned up in the context of the game. Another player, JestinTymme, googled it and found the guy's physics web page.

2. When I sent a feeler to the guy re. Meghan he replied that he didn't know what happened to Jake. I never mentioned Jake. He mentioned Jake first.

3. When I sent another tenative feeler to the guy asking if he knew what happened to Jake, he replied that he just knew what he read and I should contact Dr. Zeladzny.

He doesn't seem to me trying to lead us astray. The recent stuff re. Sverdlosk also points us to Dr. Zeladzny. I mean if the NRU research grows out of the Sverdlosk research, I think it is likely that the Russian scientist who heads the NRU research was at Sverdlosk or knows something about it.

I don't really know where to put David in the cast though. Entirely open to suggestions, here.
