It's almost lunchtime here, no love from Freya or any of her daughters.
Anyone get any emails yet?

I just signed up this morning and the confirmation said it would start within 24 hours. Dunno

Got mine too. Interesting lead....

Now, what are the guidelines here? The place charges a fee to get the emails - so I assume we shouldn't post the email text on the forums Wink

How far can we go when talking about this? (Sorry if this is a trout - I blame it on the smallpox vaccine)

Well, as this is a forum for a group read, I would assume we can talk about it as much as we want.

And I also assume that we're allowed to quote it, to a reasonable degree, in order to discuss it. I mean, it's not like we'd be pasting the entire emails -- someone lurking here still wouldn't be able to get the experience you pay for just by reading whatever snippets we post to facilitate our discussion.

That said, perhaps we should spoiler any quotes for the comfort and convenience of those who may not check their email obsessively every five seconds.

Not that I do that.

Would it be excessive to have a thread for each e-mail (I'm thinking so, since they don't seem to be long so far), or do we want to have a thread for each week?

Having read this already myself, I'd suggest either a) a thread per days worth of emails or b) a thread per week, depending on how much you guys have to discuss Smile

I think maybe for now we should do a thread for each day -- if it gets to be too much, or there's not much to discuss about a particular email, someone can always merge the threads.

As I understand it, we may be getting multiple emails per day, so only one thread per week might become pretty confusing.

For now, I'm going to start an "Days 1 & 2" thread, because there doesn't seem to be that much to discuss or SPEC about in these early emails, and after that I guess let's just play it by ear as far as whether an individual email gets its own thread. Smile

Character Profiles?

Would it be helpful to have a thread or something to have some brief character profiles? Just to keep everyone straight?

Should it become an issue, we'll probably create one. Smile

And welcome! How did you find us?

Heh. I'm already confused, but that could be the fatigue and caffiene. Wink

How I found this: You commented on my blog, remember?

http://nickciske.com/blog/2005/06/09/the-daughters-of-freya/

My ARG history: I played the beast a bit but didn't have time to help out too much. I played the first few episodes of Majestic but quit after the Flash break in game tilted my cheese meter a little too far. Wink

I'm hoping to get back into it and maybe build my own someday... maybe.
