If we're on about the inferno cargo logo on the plane then it is a flame surrounded by some form of 3 pronged symbol, this could be construed as being both a flame and a trident.
Then there's the boxes that the stella is sat on, are those flames on the side? It looks like a hazard warning for flammable material but it's so hard to tell if it is a flame or not, it's just not clear, we'll have to take it as a yes, God the solution to this puzzle is so tenuous it beggars belief.
So anyway this now leaves the following in each of the 3 Ads:
Airfield contains: 3 Flames(Boxes & Logo) & 1 Trident(Logo)
Office contains: 6 Flames(Outside) & 17 Butterflies(On Wall)
Crossroads contains: 1 Raven, 1 Trident(Maybe 5 With Poles) & 1 Snake(Maybe 2)
Still can't seem to find any dogs though, unless you count the man in black as Shuck, the black hell hound????? This would make 3 Dogs.
I think that the symbols have to be clearly visible in the images or else the solution could be anything.

As confusing as this site appears to be...go here:
http://www.adforum.com/preview/subscriber/reel_detail.asp?id=47023&TDI=VDpwTRii
Click on View Campaign..that will bring up all three pictures. Click on one then click to enlarge. That doesn't make it very big but you can enlarge it once more and that makes it really big. Can see a whole lot of details we can't see in the other pictures.
There is only 1 raven in the crossroads picture. That's his tail, not a snake, It's some type of gargoyle on the door handle in the office, that is a fire symbol on the crate at the airport, and the trident airlines symbol on the plane is wings, not fire nor a trident.
Hope these help
Oh yea, the only dog I have been able to see in any of the pictures is the crossroads. With these larger pictures you can see it laying on the ground behind The man in black, by the bush.

I agree with the Inferno Cargo logo to a point, it is unclear what it is but it does have the image of a flame in the center of it's logo, but I'll give you the wings. (I did say it was some form of 3 pointed symbol, not a trident, it just could be mistaken for one)
Not sure on your spotting of a dog though I can't see squat.
If it's not clearly visible in the image or in the foreground of the image how can they expect us to spot it?
There is however as you say clearly only 1 Raven and along with 17 Butterflies that gives us 2 definates. Also it looks like the raven is the furthest away from the stella in the ads, so Raven would be the 1st and largest symbol in the grid with a value of 1 and we know Butterfly is 3rd largest with a value of 17.
This just leaves the rest!!!!!!!!

Or you could just go here: http://www.loweuk.com/Apps/website/loweuk.nsf/crePrint?openview&count=-1&RestrictToCategory=Stella%20Artois and click on each picture once to enlarge
(yes, they're the same as above, but easier to access)
and I can see no dog on the crossroads pics, and definitely only one raven!

The book-ends look like Anubis - Egyptian god of the dead, represented as a black jackal or dog, or as a man with the head of a dog or jackal, which is kinda relevant to the game. If this is the case there are two dogs in the Office picture.
Mind you, I tried the method of counting the objects before in attempt to solve the conclusion puzzle but it didn't get me anywhere!

Or, on second thoughts, maybe the dog in the photos is simply the man in black - The Book of Star labels he who walks among us as 'the dark one', 'the man in black', 'Shuck' (presumably after Black Shuck - the Devil's Dog), 'Apollyon', and 'Belial'.
If the man in black is the dog then there are 3 dogs, all nearest to the star. I dunno, just another stab in the dark, 'cos I really want to know what the solution is!

In the picture Airfield, look at the left foot of the man in black. It's a hoof...so he is half an animal. On the other foot there a normal shoe.

I agree Lindz. He is Mr. Shuck, in charge of aquisitions and Shuck is another name for a devil dog. I would say 3 dogs and they are closest to the Stella.

Also, about the snakes. If you pop the photos into Windows Fax and Picture viewer or similar and zoom in, down to the right of the tyre in the crossroads picture there appear to be 3 snake heads peeping out from under the crate. The snake that some people have seen climbing up his leg is definitely a tail (if you have decent monitor and zoom!). Surely this means that there are 3 snakes, and the snakes are second closest?

OK... I may have cheated here but I called a friend who works for Metrodome (a film distributor) and he was going on about a Stella Artois event in Kensington Gardens - screening Donnie Darko. Details are at stellascreen.co.uk and it looks sold out. Anyway - to the point - I think this is the event - which means there is little time to solve this - its this Saturday.
Anyway my guess on the order of the signs... from the largest or furthest away to the closest ... and my guess on the number of each
Raven - one
Dog - 1 assuming cerberus is 1 dog
Butterfly - 17
Trident - 1
Snake - 2 (maybe three but only in the ad of the roads)
Fire - 6 or 8 (possibly something here about where its symbols and or words that are counted)
OK - the bad news - I'm not registered on S+S to solve this so I will have to hope that I just get the cash for being the best!

Well, considering the cash is supposed to go to the person who was the closest while the game was going on (and you needed to register with S+S to play the game) I wouldn't be holding my breath on receiving the grand prize.

Hi,
I have zoomed in with photoshop and other progs and am pretty certain that there are no snakes under the boxes in the crossroads pic, they are just long and shinny objects.
As for the tail/snake its up for grabs as there is no head or pointy end that would clear make it a devils tail.
Also Mr. Shuck is the devil and we all know the goat/devil assostiations, so in the airfield he has feet or legs of a goat not one hoof and one shoe, when zoomed in this is pretty clear. (also his fingernails are big and scary.)
Heres a pic of the bookends which are a cat? And a dragon with huge ears?
Cheers

Think you are right about the bookends, although I do still wonder if the dog is the man in black himself which means there are 3. Can't see a dog in the door handle like some people have suggested.
Regarding the pointy tail and the serpents, I can still see a point on the end of his tail and some serpents. I may well be seeing things, probably because I am so frustrated with this. My first ARG and I want to know the answer! AAARG!

The reason I know it's a tail is because while searching some ages ago for information on Olaf Veltman, I came across an interview that explained the pictures. It stated that it was a tail. It also went into detail about the other items in the pictures..Like the fact that the telephone poles are crosses, (the windows in the office also form crosses, upside down ones), and a few other things. It told how they went to great lengths to make the office one..for instance that's a real Oil factory through the windows. I went searching for that site again last night but couldn't locate it. Now I'm kickin myself for not bookmarking it or something sooner...
On closer look at the dagger in the office..it does look a bit like it could be a snake...hmmm
The bookends look more like some of those fancy schmancy bookends where one end is the head of an animal and the other end is the tail..in this case it looks like a dragon. I searched that on google and found some bookends that look pretty darn similar to the ones in the pic.

Yes that is a tail good stuff,
By crosses do u mean they can be counted as tridents?
Also the factories pipe thingies could be counted as tridents (5)?
also if we are looking for shape that define the symbols and not the actual symbol then the tail could be counted as a snake and also the crate handles in the airfield pic.
crossroads:
1*dog
1*snake
5*trident
1*bird
office:
1*dog
1*snake
6*fire
17*butterfly
airfield:
1*dog
4*snake
3*fire
cheers
