Heh Df, if anything the grainy webcam makes it easier to spot! My first thought was "oh it's got a picture of Einstein on it... must be a physics question..." hah!

Just in case it might be important in the top right corner it says "The Clue is in t" and then it gets cut off

In another thread (#082, "Sharp Red"), appleTRON said:

Does it mean anything? Who knows?

That made me think that it could be about "Snake Eyes".

Has anyone spent any time on www.kowltonmosaics.com?

They've got a great shot of the Einstein mosaic, and a close up of the dice alignment.

But how to "jumble it all together"?

[edit] There's a relevant quote, too. The mosaic was "Commemorating Einstein's protesting the probabilistic presumption of quantum mechanics, saying "I shall never believe that God plays dice with the world" (also quoted as "... with the universe")."

'The clue is in t...'

I naturally extend that to say 'the clue is in the question' ...

Now, if you look at the 'who am i' question, it has lots of curly extension bits, which might read something? Maybe upside down?

I have the card, it does look like there is writing behind it, but I can't read anything in it.

Would it be possible to look at the card through a color filter? Use a Red or blue (heck why not orange it is an orange card right?) gel to see the "hidden" text?

I doubt it, the "hidden"text is also black. The only interesting (legible bits) to it are: The I looks like a 1 when upside down, the am looks like a "who", however, the Who (right way up one), when upside down, has a backwards "C" slanted slightly anticlockwise, about halfway down the "O", and about half way to the (upside down) left, theO, H and W are linked in standard cursive script. Between the W and the H is what looks like a lower case N which ends where the H begins and between the left (upside down) and centre prongs of the W.

I think that the "clue" probably reads: The Clue Is In The Title

It is worth noting that the squiggle between the W and the H looks like it goes onto the Einstein mosaic, buit the dark colours obscure it, so it could look like a g instead of a y

I would certainly question the 'solved' status of this card. The answer of Albert Einstien seems too easy for an Orange card. Also it is worth noting that there is an orange pecked line that goes around the sides and top of the mosaic and points directly at the squiggles behind the Who am I? text...

Too easy for an orange card?!?! I mean ... maybe you're giving yourself less credit than you are due, sledge. Orange cards don't seem particularly difficult in the grand scheme.

Though maybe you are right, perhaps there is more to the card. I think the solve is there, but there oculd be something else. We won't know until the leaderboard goes up, will we?

Incidently the response to this by another scientist, who I can't remember the name of, was 'Trust an Austrian to tell God what to do'.

Which is a much better quote...hey ho.

bhavoo--

Welcome to The Game ... er, I mean This Is Not A Game. But welcome anyway.

Check here for the answers to your thoughs -- well, some answers at least. We don't as of yet know what the playing card puzzle is.

Cheers.
