When I got it today it looked like a face - almost like an album cover.

oliverkeers13 when you say you've played with the lighting - I take it a complete reverse - a negative makes no difference.

P.S Upside down its more like a footprint

I played in iPhoto, just made the picture darker (as in less light getting to it)

The word Lucid reminds me of Vanilla Sky's Lucid Dream (suspended animation with the subconscious simulating life) a search of Lucid Dream brings this up

In another thread in Perplex City, someone mentioned that some change in sunlight. Leave this card in direct light for a day (if you have it) see what happens.

A dutch website says that text becomes visible after a few days in the sun.

It rings bells, just like all the other grayscale topography pictures I found on google did. I've been scouring the internet for weeks now in search of something that looks similar. I don't think that's the direction I'm going to keep heading.

I'm going to cling to the idea that if we shed light on this card, it'll reveal something to us. It's just so darned romantic.

Right, since the image looks like an elevation map of some sort, I decided to put a scan of the card into Terragen to see what it came out with...

and here are the pics...

if any of them look like interesting, I can put up the detail on the comp so we can see it clearly, (but it will take some time as my computer is sloooooooow).

The negative image of the card had to modified to increase the brightness as some parts of the map were too dark and were hidden underneath the 'sea' that Terragen created.

As a sidenote, if anyone wants me to create a nice scenic view of the mountains complete with sky and sunrise/sunset, I can make a nice 1024X768 pic of it for a desktop background ... we'll call it the Elucidate mountain ranges.

I like the pictures makes it lot easier the trying to imagine the shapes of the structures in your head

Is it possible to take out the black lines, as I think they may represent fault lines which may not be represented physicaly in the actual structure,

If the lines are Fault lines then I think we should be looking for somewhere geographicaly unstable.

I.ve personally been looking at Eureka valley in California ( as I thought the name would appeal to crafty puzzle setters)

Theres fault lines all over california that look a bit like these. i'm started to get dizzy and crosseyed
