Here's one possible solve:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
743 819 256
169 572 483
528 463 719
271 648 395
496 135 827
385 927 641
812 796 534
957 384 162
634 251 978
With this, I get (someone might want to check this, though):
79/ 48/ 58/ 68/ 67/ 57/ 56/ 71/ 75/ 68/ 96/ 35/ 76/ 89/ 56/ 97/ 83/ 76/ 96/ 75/ 38/ 68
And another one:
743 819 265
169 572 483
528 463 719
281 745 396
495 136 827
376 928 541
812 397 654
957 684 132
634 251 978

And yet another one:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
743 819 256
169 572 483
528 463 719
281 645 397
496 137 825
375 928 641
812 796 534
957 384 162
634 251 978
(Note: As you can see, this solution is nearly the same as miss_seph's except for the central section.)
The color pairings are:
79 /48 /58 /68 /67 /57 /56 /82 /71 /87 /65 /96 /37 /56 /79 /56 /98 /83 /75 /96 /75 /38 /68
Edit: Made a mistake transcribing my numbers. Thanks to Catherwood for setting me straight.

here Here is my spreadsheet for both the Beethoven and the Sudoku puzzles. Note - two different worksheets of the same MS Excel workbook.
For Sudoku - if you find another solution grid, just copy/paste the # grid + calculations to some blank space, then fill in your solution numbers over the previous one (or blank out the old one first). The ASCII #s and their character equivalents will be populated automatically, based on the assumption that the first ? of a given color is the 10s place of the ASCII code number. I already put the three above solutions into it.
Hopefully this finds itself to be useful to you guys.

I'm with strifey here. I've tried for the last hour to do it by hand and have come to the conclusion it is impossible to solve

YAY the navigation works properly now, too!
Plus, note the not-hidden-at-all "puzzle.html" clearly visible on the lower right. Looks like they really want people to work on the trail when they stumble onto the akalesh meta site.

I have not been able to get to the site for several days now. I am able to get to it if I use our second IP or a proxy, which can only lead me to believe that my IP has been blocked. Dunno whether it's a kloo or merely bad judgment.

Solves to remaining Akalesh puzzles I solved Beethoven, 90% of the next one (thanks to Strifey for figuring what to do with my results!), and then Strifey and I plowed through the last two in tandem like the good ol' days playing RiddlePlanet.
Note to PM's - don't name puzzle pieces in a manner able to be guessed, eh? I guess it's just desserts for a broken sudoku
See attached spreadsheet.

a note about Beethoven We had 2 names wrong:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
RUDAN and NARDI
Also - you have to add one (see the spreadsheet). I challenge the PM's to please look at this diagonal and see if there's a typo somewhere to fix?
Then there's one more you need to add but I can't find when I look it up anywhere, but since the 2 letters are on a diagonal it stands to reason the Puzzle Writer intended for it to be used somehow.
The rest solves itself.
I had to work it backwards from what we had, which took about half a day on and off of farting around with it, and I learned about a new d00d in the process.
Ciao!
