Austin Powers could refer to 'the power of'? ie 26 to the power of 3..

Some things I noticed....

- Queen is a British band
- Austin Powers is British
- Radio 1 and Radio 2 are BBC Radio Stations
- 999 is the British "information" number
- The next clue (4)'s layout is more similar to a phone keypad than a calculator

It feels like there's something with phone codes, musical tones, etc. They're not international dialing codes, or even major city codes (I checked the AT&T website).

That's all I can come up with for now.

999 is the British emergency services phone number (like 911 in the States), 100 is the british operator number... I'm gonna have another look at this sodding thing when i get home... (although I didn't have a clue a couple of months ago, I'm not likely to have much of a clue now!)

ah, my mistake. A site I had briefly skimmed mentioned the 999 number as part of an antequated "hotline" system that had once been used for everything from emergency services to tourism information.

[spec]
another idea that i was too burned out to try last night--

could you convert the numbers to binary and then use the binaries as morse code (0 and 1 for dot and dash)? that would take a horribly long time, plus there would be some question as to where to break the number, so that "feels" unlikely.

then there's the question of the 2 and the 9 being grayed out, which must be of some significance.

In the staff below, the first G-A pairing is one octave plus one full tone for 9 full tones difference (or 14 semitones). In the second G-A though, it's only 7 full tones of difference between the two (or 11 semitones). 9-2=7, but now I think this has gone past "spec" and into serious wild-a** guessing.

Shocked

Not to double post, but I think the last post went dead so hopefully this will get some eyeballs...

Has anyone tried cutting out the keys and arranging them so the numbers line up with each other in some way? 999 could be a clue to the organization of the puzzle pieces?

I tried that for a while this afternoon and came up with some interesting geometric arrangements, but i couldn't do too much because I was at work and, even for a slow Friday, there's only so much you can get away with....

Doubt it, those would be incredibly large numbers.

It can't be that because it only goes up to 255 and there is a 256 on the puzzle.

It's just that table that only goes up to 255 I think. 256 doesn't work but 257 is ☺

I have to say, I don't think the numbers literally represent 1:1 relationships with letters. I think that once we solve this puzzle the numbers will... reveal in some manner how to solve the fourth side.

The spiraling water in the background reminds me of the scene in the movie Pi, where the actor draws a spiral through the stock chart to identify a pattern. It seems as though we need some kind of key to unlock the pattern.

Key... musical key... anyone with the sheet music know which key Radio Gaga is in?

And the clues... "listen to it", "radio gaga", the song's lyrics are a lamentation on the triumph of the video over the song, perhaps we've been too quick to dismiss the masked voice?

More to obsess over.

I don't think we would have to listen to radio gaga because not everyone gets the station (if there is one) I've never heard of it.

Where do you see a "listen to it" clue?
