Hi, I'm trying to avoid reading the solve(s) before I figure it out myself, but I can't read the text. Anyone willing to transcribe it? Thanks.

This was in the close-up scan of the catalog, but when the scanning rules were updated, got removed without a proper transcript made first. I updated the catalog page to include the text:
Quote:
Violet and I often have a quiet drink after work in our favorite bar on the Mobius Strip. It's not unusual for some bloke to try to chat her up and she usually brushes them off with a cutting one-liner. One night, a particularly persistent guy just wouldn't give up asking for her phone number, insisting that he recognized her from somewhere.

Eventually, she arched one eyebrow and said:

"My phone number has 11 digits and they sum to 44. Vowels in syzygy, corners on a cube, deadly sins, numm in German, love in tennis, strings on a violin, degrees of separation, atomic number of lithium, horsemen of the apocalypse, colours of the rainbow, dots in a quincunx."

He asked her to repeat the problem but, smiling, she refused.

Y, while it can function as either a vowel or a consonant, is traditionally considered a consonant. Here is an interesting bit over at AskOxford.com about it.

Not that it matters but you would say 'There are 3 Y's'

Here's the message you get (Cost 50p each time you listen on the phone):

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Hello and welcome to Violet's phone. Well, it's not really Violet's phone, did you really think that I'd let Kurt print my *REAL* number on the card? Anyway, if you're that creepy guy from the bar, you're out of luck. Anyone else who wants to contact me can do so at quirkyacuity.com

I think you'll find that you're incorrect on your pricing - taken from BT's pricing information page, in pence per minute.

Daytime Evening Weekend
0845 3.00 1.00 1.00
0870 7.51 3.75 1.50

..and whilst text is nice, I heartily encourage you all to follow Nik_Doof's link on page one of this thread, for the .mp3 version.

Has anyone noticed the pics and attachments on the site? I've looked at this one until my eyes got sore:

http://www.quirkyacuity.com/foundwithkurt_small.jpg

And this looks like a cube (which means nothing to me lol):

http://www.quirkyacuity.com/reconfile.txt

Any ideas what these mean?

The large version of Kurt's note can be found here and was discussed over here.

The reconfile puzzle was solved over here.
