we came up with a number of words that had Z in the middle, one being AZO which looks like it could be part of the answer. maybe irrelevant since it looks to be solved (although if any rubiks solvers could post a photo that would be cool) but for future reference you might wanna check a few dictionaries ;)

If some of the programming wizards here are so inclined to give it a spin; it would be cool to see this in animation, like some I've seen on Rubik's Cube sites.

I'll try and get a photo posted tonight, i've got ANO instead of AZO, don't know if it'll make a difference.

Also when you look at the cube at an angle, you can see some 4 and 5 letter words. some i've noticed so far are:

PAGE
PARK
USER
KENDO Question Question

Don't know if that's a coincidence or not.

edit:
on the shaded side of the cube , it's a 'M' not a 'W' .

Here are the photos of my cube, as before i've got ANO instead of AZO.

Hope somebody can confirm if this is correct.

i hope this hasnt been mentioned but without moving the cube, i can see some words. on cube one i can see BOT (top face),TAD (side face), LED AYE NOW (bottom face). on the second cube i can see BAA AYE SEE ( top face), PAT EGO ( side face), SEW (side face).
some of the words are backwards and some of the letters are the wrong way, but this is just something i have noticed.

Ok, I think I have this right, but feel free to correct it if necessary. Here's what the cube would look like flattened.

Just made an alteration to NovacaineX's flattened cube, it was right, but this version might be easier to read:

While we're posting pictures of flattened three dimensional objects, if you want to try to disassembly/reassembly thing without destroying a Rubik's Cube in the process and if you have a lot of spare time for an arts-and-crafts project, this might be for you.

I ran out of tape in the making, so have been unable to verify for mistakes.

Could someone post me a detail scan of the darkest side on the cube? The one labeled 5/6? I'm having trouble reading it.

I know it's mostly been solved, but I'd like to try. Any help?

OOOOOOOOOOR ... if noone can scan it, can you tell me the orientation of the letters? I know it says:

WES
ESE
TDS

... but could someone transcribe it with the proper rotation -- like:

B(0) A(0) A(90)
A(0) Y(180) E(0)
S(0) E(0) E(180)

???

I don't have the card myself, but from what I can see, it looks like this:

Can't do a detail scan per the MC rules, but here's the details:

W(180) E(180) S(90)
E(180) S(0) E(0)
T(180) D(270) S(180)

You can see the "S" letters are actually a specific facing. They don't look right the other way.

Still can't be positive about the "W" or "M" thing, so I'd defer to the above solutions for that.

Good luck!

I would like to add the letters to my Rubik's Cube to solve this puzzle myself but I am having trouble reading the diagram. Which face is connected to which face?
