[Puzzle][Solved] #018 - Red - Natal Name Deciding on a name for a baby has always been an entertaining way to pass time for both males and females. While some names have been perennially popular over the years, others (such as Britney, Kylie, Justin and Jason) often go out of fasion quickly. Can you match up these four top ten lists of US boys' and girls' names to these four different decades?

There is somthing hidden on this card I do belive.... possible ultra violet light will reveal it. looks like from what i can make out handwriting above the letters B and C. I havent got anything UV so cant try it out but can barley make somthin out with my Eyes. I've tried heating it too death, definalty some sort of diffent ink or somthing there though..... There has to be. looks like its wrote in blue. Oh and as i was writing this i just noticed under Marie near the bottom, near the stars, red ink. I can hardley see it, but also again blue above 1930.... Can anyone confim. In fact on closer inspection the whole cards filled with sqiggles heart shapes and eveen what looks like an elephant above 1910.
*Just thought... could it be exposure to light. the card growing like the baby... probably most likely... looks like we might have to what a while longer if thats the case.* Or it could be ultra vilolet like those light baby chamber things like neo natal babies are put in, maybe?

I definitely see what you mean.
I tried rubbing it, for some reason, it seemed a reasonable thing to do at the time. Having just had a roast dinner, my fingers were a little bit greasy. Have you ever gotten grease on paper? It goes see through with the writing still showing as normal.
I managed to smudge my card a bit too much now, but I reckon, maybe, if some grease was rubbed on, whatever it is there, will show up.
Good spot tho.

Are you sure it's not just the random pattern of the towel background?

You may well be right, however, and this may be a coincidence, but many of the cards appear to have something written very faintly in them. A lot of people are thinking that it could just be bleeding from other cards (I don't really know how that would happen) and it's not like whoever made the cards can't make mistakes - I've spotted some typos that I'm pretty sure are accidental as they have no relevance to anything.
However, there might be something in the 'hidden' text. There are, after all, many other types of clues on the cards: playing cards, big letters, the puzzle makers' signatures (which i think will be significant) to name but a few (at least the ones that I am aware of).
It's worth investigation, or perhaps patience.

light I don't think that it is UV light - I think the light you mean is the light used to treat newborn infants who have jaundice. I think fluorescent light is the treatment - not UV light.
