Or does your solve not solve anything unless you break just about every one of the rules?
(Sorry this is re: the above alternative solve, not the original)

just an interesting point, in the bottom left corner there is what looks like a very early prototype of the red pixel card Bar None. Of special note is that the card is listed as #079 instead of #027 (among other design changes.

That's the bottom-right corner. Plus, it has a scratched-off serial number that is partly visible: 6278457622458[something]. There is one digit partially visible that looks like an 8 or 9. There may be more digits out of the picture.

Also, I don't know if anyone noticed, but there's a yellow stickie note on the bottom left thats a bit cropped off, but likely says "To M ichael a t M indcandy" (bold is my spec).
One last note of possible relevance:
At the top left is a Scrabble tile for "X" (8 points). On card #184, "Love Letters," someone speculated that the "X" at the top of the letter flap was a scrabble tiule, and it (apparently) led to the solve for that card.
Could Sente and Tippy be having some kind of secret Scrabble affair?
[edit] just for the sake of completeness, just behind the pen is what looks like " T | h | i | s " Basically, "This" segmented, like it was part of a solve.
I can totally see Sente's desk strewn with random puzzles and answers.

Playing Cards Has anyone noticed that there is also a very faint 10 of clubs imprint just to the top left of the X scrabble letter? I have also noticed Queen of Diamonds on #137 Sub Rosa.

Well spotted, but it has been noticed already. In fact 13 of the 67 cards issued so far have playing card symbols on them, and they also have parts of large grey letters in the corners.

The E3 card was a prototype, right?

I got mine in a pack too. I think it's pretty much that those who got the cards at E3 were just treated to an early release, instead of a "limited edition" card.

Is it just me, or does the 'X' Scrabble letter seem to be in the same design as the X in unix X11?
