It's also got the 8 of spades on, in case you couldn't make it out on the scan.

My # 89 didn't have the map section on that back. Mine had the usual grim looking Sente's how to play thing on it. Perplexing.

There's something weird about this card, the ink doesn't reflect in the same way to all the others...

I have a signed #089 with the instructions, and an unsigned one with the map piece.

but have you noticed the dots under 4 of the letters...a type of cypher???
I've been looking at the card and the dots more closely (grumble grumble.. low resolution scans.. grumble grumble) and from what I can tell, since I don't have a copy yet, it appears that the following letters are "marked" in some way or other:
"dot" above the letter: ryharg
"dot" below the letter: fabba
"dash or something" (TM) above the letter: vt
"dot" after the letter: s
And letters that seem otherwise not like the other letters of the same type in the note: rk
Not sure if this means anything. Since I don't have an actual card to look at these could be artifacts of scanning or part of the fancy border picture for all I know. Maybe someone with the card in front of them can make sure these are actually there?

I am assuming you mean the large partial-letter at the bottom? A large number of cards have 'em. Take a look
no there is some kind of water mark.. between the large grey mark in the corner and the emblem with people in ...could be a bleed from another card print but looks like a water mark of letters...

You mean the large letter segments that are on many of the cards? Like this:
A whole list is available here .

'And all you have when nothing's left',

if everything is right - nothing is left
Aha! You may have something. I think I'm siding with
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
'right'
now.
I think that the pictures surrounding the riddle should be examined.
The abundance of nature in the pictures could hint towards paganism, and therefore equality of the sexes (put simply) and there are symbols of equality dotter around the place: the pagan equal sided cross, the scales with the figures of the man and woman on it.
I dunno if that would add a new level to it or not, or is meant to mislead.

How does...
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
Right
...fit with "Men rage if I be lost by theft"? It's not something you can steal really. All the others I see how they'd fit, but that one is making me question it.

Slavery, for example, would be a theft of rights. I am going to stop championing Cassandra's solve ...

... now.

I know that the board seems to agree on the solve for this one, but I'm still not happy about the theft line. I've come up with an alternative that I don't think has been tried. Working from the bottom up:
And all you have when nothing's left
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you do what's right, even if you lose everything else,
you'll still have your good name
I am what justice works to bring
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If someone is wrongly accused of a crime,
justice works to restore their good name
Men rage if I be lost to theft
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
As in "stole his good name"
Forever foe to what is wrong
Hmmm.. I don't kow, maybe one of you can see something for this.
So.. it works better than
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
RIGHTS
for the theft line, but it doesn't really work for the first line. Well, now I've posted it; maybe I can get it out of my head.

And all you have when nothing's left -- instead of your meaning :-
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
If you do what's right, even if you lose everything else,
you'll still have your good name
i'd say its :-
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
And all you have when nothing's left is -- right ---- no left is all right
